  • This is definitely the piece I am most proud of. This is the best work I've written (to date) in terms of melodic fullness and structure. I look forward to publishing the rest of the movements, but this first movement is near and dear to my heart.
While I still have a long way to go with my studies of orchestration, I think this is a great introduction to my orchestral writing. Originally completed while I was 18 and revised a year later.

Very nice music. I love all the classical composer style that went into this, with a little bit of mozart melodies, the bach style chord progressions, with the hint of modern flow. Overall great piece that I would love to hear from a real orchestra.

Beautiful concerto, I could't write something like this! But I wouldn't call it Adagio, rather Allegretto/Allegro with 4/4 time and double the note values.

I completely agree it would make some of the note values easier to read (dotted eighth/sixteenth rhythms rather than dotted 16th/32nds). Overall, though, great work.

A breath of fresh air right from the modern period of music history. So lovely, so refreshing, so danceable. Truly a musical journey far away from the "strange" chords/sounds that shroud modern music yet belonging to this period. This would resonate well with even non musicians and my opinion is music should be enjoy by all regardless of race, tribe, region or sect therefore hats off to the composer!!! 👏👏👏👏👏

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven.

are absolutely awesome to listen. - The melodies are sometimes so beautiful, that I got tears from listening, especially, when
the slower part begins in c-sharp minor! - Wow, that is really beautiful! - I also like how the orchestra is in a dialogue with
the piano, - so well balanced after my opinion. - Congratulations for this outrstanding piece of really lovely music!! -
Go on like that and kindest regards.

Thanks for the inspiration to compose one day. I can’t read or write sheet music yet (at all,) but I’ve managed to learn 2 Rachmaninov preludes without it.
Been trying to force myself to look at music differently before I tackle theory and reading. Right now I play by ear and watch synthesia videos (I know it’s a terrible way to learn.) I started a bit over 4 years ago. In the past 2 years I’ve taken it deathly serious.

This piece, or what is finished of it, has a lot of good things going for it. The orchestration is quite basic but it works, the build-up and release of tension is there, it's coherently structured, and the dotted rhythm that forms the basis of the work is effective. However, there's also quite a few things which could be done better. There is too much rhythmic repetition, this rhythmic motif that defines the work comes back too often, especially in the strings in the beginning. All that would have to be done to solve it is make an alternative version (or 2 or 3) of that pattern using for example triplets or moving it to a different position relative to the beat.
I also think there's too much harmonic repetitions and too few modulations to more distant keys. After a while this V7-I thing becomes boring. It'd already help to modulate some of the passages' repetition to the dominant or even double dominant. However I'd strongly recommend re-harmonising the melodic passages in some instances while leaving the melody notes where they are too.
Also, this work really needs a lyrical 2nd theme in Bb major, which contrasts the dotted rhythms and agitated nature of the 1st, and it would make sense to use some nocturne-like arpeggiated chords topped with a free-flowing melody that uses odd rhythms exactly like Chopin does in his nocturnes.
Then use the first theme in the double dominant (C major) as a basis for the development and include the 2nd theme in A minor. Use the parallel A major, which just so happens to be the double dominant of G minor, to begin a cadence to modulate back in the root key. Use some Neapolitan sixths and tritonus (dividing the octave into 4 minor 3rds) on your way back to the key of G minor. You can then do the recapitulation and use a long drawn out section with a harmonic pedal on the dominant, including some fragments of the 2nd theme, and move back into the root key for the coda.

@@andrewanderson3016 study music composition with a professor in a personalized class like i do.
You start by doing exercises in composition to learn, ovviously you don't start writing things like this, unless you are Mozart.
Then you slowly add more things and more freedom to your compositions until you have everything under your control.
If you want to do it well, it takes time and effort. There are no shortcuts.
Even Beethoven and Bach had to work long and hard to write their best music.
If you just wanna write short pop songs thats a different thing, you don't need to work or study much for that. You just pick a guitar or piano, use 4/5 easy chords on a loop, and write a simple melody with few notes and you repeate it all the time and thats it.

Seriously impressive! I especially like how it sticks to its character throughout the entire piece. Something I've noticed about a lot of beginner composers today is that their music often switches charachter completely several times during the piece, almost like different movements except every minute or so.
If I had to give a criticism I'd say the orchestra sort of consumes the piano at times. In my opinion, the piano should stand out a little more at those points.

Hey, this is really good! I was wondering if you had any advice for coming up with catchy melodies. I can never seem to get any that are any good. I love the thematic melody in the intro that all the orchestral parts echo!

After listening to this composition 5 times over today you make me want to try and compose again! Do you have any suggestions on how I could learn?

Очень хорошо, но из-за насыщенности оркестра фортепиано будет как будто на втором плане, если бы фортепиано переделать регистр и сделать насыщенней обертонами было бы более эпично

Only drawback is piano part is a bit too limited to call this proper piano concerto
