    Thank you for giving your patients the option of medical marijuana. I've had MS for 17 years and have been a medical marijuana patient in multiple states over the years. I Live with an increasing amount of pain over the years and I've been able to limit my use of medications including painkillers with the use of THC and CBD.

    Hi Dr. B. I am a person with MS and living in Belgium. 2 weeks ago, I discovered your channel, and I already watched a lot of your video's. I must say, I already learned a lot about MS. Things that our neurologists here in Belgium do not explain to us. I have already started with a number of your tips about fighting spasticity like drinking more water, move around more. Now I will start to do the stretching as well. Thanks for all the interesting information that you share on your channel. Next time I will try to follow the live broadcast on the spot.

    Congratulations on being able to recommend medical cannabis. South Carolina is still fighting for it. I still hold a paramedic certification in the state and am subject to random drug screens, so I don't dare tempt fate. If they would just make it legal nationally for any purpose, I might would actually be able to get some relief. My medications help, but the times I have had cannabis, it helped much more.

    • @ottotater2787
      @ottotater2787 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Legal here in Florida medically but that does not change drug testing in the least. Drug testing is all based on your employer. You can have certification but that doesn't allow anybody anywhere in any medically legal state to pass drug test. If you're employer allows you to use cannabis then they don't test for it, if they don't allow you to use Cannabis at your place in employment then they don't allow you to use cannabis at your place employment. Every 7 months, a medical marijuana card holder in FL has go to get recertified and what that is is reading each law An in signing your initials swearing and afirming on a document that I fully understand each one of these individual laws, one of those is that this does not give me any type of pass what so ever with my employer and that my employer might dismiss me on finding out that I use medical cannabis.
      Having a medical card and medical certification does not change the status of workability at all. If you're employer finds out you're using medical cannabis they may choose to dismiss you on the spot & that you're aware that having a medical card does not automatically alter or effect hireability or employability or a companies freedoms to employee by whatever standards they wish to. If you are ever confronted by a federal employee or if you are in any type of park or on water which by the way can be patroled with federal agency and therefore you have cannabis on you. Having a medical card you are as guilty as if you didn't have any kind of card because federally it is just illegal. Medically legal cannabis does not help you with your employer at all. If you employer is cool you can get a document that allows you to use it under certain conditions in certain specified places designated for the use of that at work But without the proper document and the proper things done that's illegal. In fact You sometimes run into more risk because now you have to put medical cannabis on some documents and things Sing employer has more chance to finding out but it does not automatically help you with your employer. Your insurance company may treat you differently if and when they find out But you're medical marijuana certification does not require any agency or business or anything to treat you any differently whatever give you any type of new consideration because you have this card. The car does for you what so ever is give you a place where you can legally Purchase cannabis to carry at home to use only at home You can't use it anywhere else you can't use it before you drive the only place you can Curious to some trusted friends house but then you can't get caught driving home after using it. A card Does not assist you with any type of drug test anywhere except for drug test from your doctor who doesn't care and isn't gonna tell the police or employer or anybody anyway. I
      That said you live in Dixie which moves very very slowly With any topic that some people can tie to religion somehow, such as some medications. Georgia is about 7 years ahead of Carolina and they have just now gotten advanced enough in their existing mmj program that they allow medical patients to use very very very limited in amounts of CBD If you're dying. Ohio has a climate and a program that may be tolerable.

    Sorry I missed your livestream yesterday! I would love to contribute toward any research regarding the use of cannabis and multiple sclerosis. I was diagnosed almost 4 years ago and the MRI that led to my diagnosis showed a plethora of lesions, both active and non; enough so that many of the doctors who reviewed my test results were surprised I had never experienced any symptoms. While the admitting doctor couldn’t professionally confirm that the use of marijuana could have aided in me not having any prior symptoms, she did firmly indicate that she had seen many patients that used cannabis and fared better when dealing with MS symptoms. Thank you, Dr. Boster, for speaking so openly on this topic and if you hear of any research studies being conducted on this, please think of me!

    Catching the replay. Doing good with "grateful" as this year's word: Being misdiagnosed for 10-20 years as a raving hypochondriac with a torn knee band and an unidentified anxiety disorder is the pits, but at least the PPMS was diagnosed just as the use of Ocravus was authorized, and because of the education I get on this channel, I'm grateful for all the problems I learn about that I DON'T have. Regards to Uncle Mark in the background and a great week from Jerusalem. 💖 😘

    Thank you for the great informative video Dr. ....I have one question
    I hear about a bunch of therapies and drugs under trial that are supposed to aid in remyelination. Is it really possible for remyelination alone to regenerate the entire neuron (eventually all the damaged areas of CNS) considering axonal loss over the period of time?

    If a patient is on any particular drug for extended years of uninterrupted dosage (in my case Gilenya), down the road is there reason to attempt branching over to newer structured products?

    Just returned from (yearly) follow up with my provider. She's allowed 15 minutes per patient. Mentioned that she skipped the neurological exam, just replied that she sees enough by having spoken to me and having seen me walk, EDSS 7. About "down theres" - shipped me off to the gyneco-urologist and the gastro-entrologist (?). And about the flu vaccine, just clicked her tounge, nit. Admitted that I didn't need a neurologist to see that the MRI taken after the Ocravus was much improved, she agreed and that ended that discussion. Referral for yeary MRI and see you next year!!🤷‍♀️🙋‍♀️

    Medical Marijuana stops my neuropathic pain so quickly!! The burning..it used to bring me to tears. It stops it!!! Also I hey severe muscle cramping in my head...on one side usually...and basically everywhere else...tho The head/face/neck cramp is the most severe....a couple of inhales of mm and it releases..I was shocked the first time this worked for me. It definitely relaxes me and helps me fall asleep but for some reason I dont stay asleep. I've been diagnosed since 1993 and have tried everything....cannabis wins for pain right now.

    Newly diagnosed. I would like to tell co-workers for a couple of reasons. I work-closely- with people who always come in sick. They never seem to feel bad that they are coughing and sneezing all over the place. Like a badge of honor "Look, I came in today even though I'm highly contagious!" LOL. I am currently suffering from a recent shared bug right now. I got hit much worse. I want to let them know what I'm going through, but also come up with a tactful way to ask that the be considerate when sick. At least don't tell me 6 inches from my face, LOL! Have any suggestions? Thankfully I wear a mask for part of my job, but the others do not.

      Self care means getting a job that keeps you safe. If you live in a very very small town in jobs are just completely unavailable, then it is time to move to another town because proper self care is absolutely imperative & allowing yourself to stay at risk is not proper self care. Just like going to a few interviews, If you're being responsible you need to interview a few places and find out their qualified to hire you? If your questions & your survey methods are reasonable in the place you want to hire on to is reasonable, you can make a good match
      but if you can't make a good match at the place you prefer then try different place For long term employment because reasonable person worries about more than just the dollar amount on the paycheck but other considerations with employment. I say this as someone who just retired. People say stand up for yourself and respect yourself, they don't just mean try to make everyone else behave, Sometimes you have to take some responsibility & redirect your own life & you can't do that when you allow yourself to be limited by the only job you let yourself have.
