    Awesome video guys. Watched it from beginning to the very end. You make a very good team.
    I now realize how lucky English speaking pilots are to communicate in their own language. And how much time should a French speaking pilot must invest in his career to master aviation English at this level.

    Great job working out in that cold. I grew up in Minnesota, and we often had temperatures approaching -40 degrees Fahrenheit, and colder at times. It's very difficult to get any kind of work done in those temperatures. Hats off (or hats ON, as the case may be) to those who made this possible in that cold. I also remember many very cold days doing preflights on the P-3 Orions when I was in the military and stationed in Maine at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. It took quite some time to get the interior of the aircraft warm. In the meantime, we froze our baguettes off. I don't miss working out in that cold.
    Also, in this flight, the scenery was "boring," and yet it's really neat to see them flying into that frozen tundra to deliver stuff. What a cool thing to do. Visual references are useless, but it does fill one with awe and wonder at the harsh environment. And that fuel bladder is very impressive! Thanks for another great trip!

    I wonder if they can use the plane's fuel tanks to deliver fuel as well as the bladders inside? Jet fuel is OK to burn in a diesel generator, or even a diesel truck. There are also some jets that are designed to carry fuel for in air refueling, I wonder if they can carry more or less fuel per trip than this system?
    Great video!

    How do they keep the ice from blowing out on take off? If they can only taxi at 10 knots. Yes the plane is lighter after the delivery of the fuel. But still very heavy.

    • @KarmaVoyager
      @KarmaVoyager ปีที่แล้ว

      The time spend going through the critical speed on landing and takeoff is very short. The issue would only get serious if the aircraft taxied at the critical speed for more than a few seconds. Basically the pressure wave takes some time to grow and you have to taxi faster or slower than the propagation speed of that wave.
