my first flight was on north central/republic airlines convair 580, i've flown in northwest airlink's saab 340 i'll take the convair over the saab any day. too bad a company wouldn't pick up on the convair design and issue a modern version of it. *sigh* legends don't last forever...

Looks pretty frigid out there. Deer are Not that important when weather's like this. Great crew of the 580 and smooth flying. Personally, I think the 580 can still be a vital tool for regional flying services, both cargo & passenger service. All the best to the crew.
