it may be helpful to specify that pepsinogen and HCl are coming from two different cell types (chief and parietal) just because the diagram would be misleading- but thats just being very detailed. Super helpful overview as always, please do lipids next!!
I have been searching all day for a video exactly like this! Perfectly and clearly explained to with the right speed of speaking! With all the information i have been seeking today! Thank you so much you've helped massively!
Thanks Armando, also a student but did a small monthly pledge as loving these, just found you today! Im studying to become a Naturopath! In New Zealand!
I'm not sure what you thought the life expectancy of this video would (or should) be, but thought you'd like to know that almost 10 years out, it's still being found very useful!! Thank you very much!
DUDE! you're amazing! Im in med school and repeating a biochemistry module. This illustration has proved my college's methods WEAK if not flawed! thank you!
Your videos are so helpful! Much more helpful than Khan academy videos. I watch your video to better understand the text that I read. Love the artwork as well. Thank you!
fantastic explanation and summary. I am a dentist and doing college exams in 2 weeks. I did enjoyed lots of your hand tutorials. Is it possible to get the whole picture of digram you draw?
Thanks Armando for making this video! It makes me understand better about protein digestion and absorption. Keep up the good work! I am Indonesian but now studying in thailand :D
Thank you soo much Armando, I really appreciate you making this video. Loving it! u really summarise everything and your teachind style is AWESOME! love it. Thanks again.
My first comment on any utube video Armando u r awesome 👍 doing a great job with ur magical ✋ hands Love ❤ your sketches n your talent 🙏 Your fan From - India
that was awesome. really cool how other enzymes are dependent on each other in order to convert to their active form. gotta love our homeostatic system of checks and balances. thanks for the video!
Thanks for a great explanation i don’t know why our teachers in med school can’t explain as u are explaining is easy and I can understand very well. Best of luck ur such a genius 👌🏻🤗
Armando..Hey This is awesome...I loved this video a lot...there is not a bit mistake in presentation, writing, diagram just this is the only thing in the worlsd which is perfect.. Nice work(y) and do upload more videos..
I seriously want to meet the authors of my textbook and say to them: "You should learn from this guy. The way you all organized and analyzed the information is all messed up." I want to show this video to them and throw the textbook into their faces so badly. Thank Gods for Armando.
I have a question, So, I am still young (14 to 15), which means I still have time to think about it, but I think I would want to study: Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Genetics, Microbiology or Inmunology. But I haven’t decided yet because I don’t really know what jobs these study choices could give me nor what I am going to prefer in terms of study contents. Could you please tell me something about what you have been studying in Biochemistry? Or give me some advice? Thank you so much!!!
Anonymous Girl biochemistry is basically chemistry of living things, lots of molecular level memorisation, labs. if you are not passionate about chemistry, it will be hard 😰
Great video!! All we need now is a Fat Digestion and Absorption video. The Carb Digestion and Absorption video is on his sister channel Armando Faigle if anybody was wondering.
Thank you for your illustration. So from this information would you say that for nutritional purposes we don't really need to absorb proteins while they maintain their secondary and tertiary structures? I am asking because many raw vegans argue that when we cook our food we denature the proteins. But from this illustration it seems like all we need from CONSUMED protein is amino acids.
Precisely. Your body synthesizes proteins by attaching amino acids to enzymatic biomolecules which then catalyze (with aid from other biomolecules) the connection of these amino acids in a specific sequence that is ultimately determined by your DNA. Vegans are screwballs, your body does not just replace old proteins with full-scale proteins that you ingest from meat, that's just silly :)
hello sir, i didnt find you mentioning about prorenin and its action during protein metabolism..plus i didnt find enough articles to satisfy physiology of milk digestion in adult human so it would be very kind of you if you explained the phenomenon..btw thank you very much for detailed and illustrative video as always
Thankyouuuuu this was amazing, if only others would be so clear like you!! Is it possible to make a vid on absorption in the small intestine, and the roles of diffusion and active transport please?
What role does renal function play in protein digestion stages.. there's extensive mention of protein being "heavy on kidneys" - The only clue that suggests this likelihood is the simultaneous absorption of water + sodium in the final stage. Would be great to hear more on proteins interaction with the kidneys. Thanks, great lesson all in all 👌
Rod orb Yeah. I thought that the Free Amino acids would enter enterocyte either through Na+ linked AA cotransporters or facilitated diffusion carriers - there would also be tri/di-peptides via Na+ linked peptide transporters - both cotransporters powered by the Na+/K+ antiporter - because it is through active transport that these enter the cell.
Heyarmando i have jist started studying biochemistry and microbiology and find ur videos helpful...please i would appreciate if make one or two videos on amino acid their types their imterations their bondings classification of amino acid and protein introduction types please
Sir please do video on lipid digestion... Its missing in your physiology part as it z very important for us.. Your explainations are up to the point... So. I am requesting you to make video about lipid digestion as well as early as possible.... Semesters are aproaching.

When you actually learn a little more about nutrition and human physiology you'll probably want to retract the "vegans are screwballs" line.

at 8.21 co transported with H+- should be Sodium co- transporter. Na then driven out by the Na/K pump (ATP dependent).
