For today's video I decided to cover one of my top 5 songs of all time! I could literally listen to this song all day and not be tired of it. This has been a family song of ours for many years and a staple at weddings or up north in Michigan in the summertime on the boat! "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" is a song by the band Looking Glass. It was written by Elliot Lurie, who was part of the band. Released in 1972, the song became a huge hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It's a catchy soft rock tune that tells the story of a barmaid named Brandy and her adventures with sailors who hang out at the bar where she works. The recording sessions took place in different studios, including the Record Plant in New York City. It also resurfaced in popularity from being one of the main songs of "The Guardians of The Galaxy 2" which is a great movie with a PHENOMENAL soundtrack!
