Even though he was too sick to be on and had to film his scenes in one room to be shown through a monitor, William Hartnell still brought his A game as the first doctor.
I think that was the moment I fell in love with the second doctor. THere's something so charming about the smile and the way he asks it of Jo after arguing so vehemently with hismelf.
It's pretty cool that Brigadier Stewart witnessed all the multi-doctor stories. And that his daughter witnessed the 50th Anniversary multi doctor movie.
And she will again in the 60th. Only it seems unlikely it'll be a multi-doctor story this time. EDIT: Oh well, I guess "The Giggle" was close enough for a multi-doctor story.
@@AndrewChapman So many of the Doctor Who channel’s recents have been to refresh the memory/lay the groundwork for the 60th. Perhaps it’s wishful thinking, but I can’t fathom that they’d taunt us with a look at what we can’t have, especially just days before the first episode.
Glad Hartnell got to have a minimal appearance at least, but still sad he was too ill to play a larger role. Would love to see a recreation of "The Three Doctors" based on the original scripts where 1st Doctor was gonna be more involved. Especially his interaction with 2nd and 3rd.

@fjccommish To be honest with you. 9 and 10, seemed the most accurate. 9 was guilt ridden and moody, 10 was on the verge of going insane. While 11 didn't make sense some moments he was known as the one who forgets.
I love how you can tell they're the same person even though they both bicker on with their own personality just like how a human could change over time but much more accelerated and obviously without the full body change.
Still one of my favourite Multi-Doctor stories A shame Omega is nowhere to be seen in this video, his performance might lean towards the hammy side, what with all the shouting, but I think that adds to my enjoyment of the character
I watched this along with some other Pertwee and Troughton episodes when I was younger and trying to get into more classic Doctor episodes. And it absolutely captivated me. The Three Doctors is probably my favorite classic story, I was stoked when they referenced it in Rings of Akhaten.
It's a shame this was the closest to a multi-Doctor story with all of the original actors in it. The Three Doctors had all three incarnations but William Hartnell didn't go on set due to the conditions so he was only on TV but at least he did the photos with Patrick and Jon. For The Five Doctors, Richard Hurndall played the First Doctor due to William passing away and Tom Baker didn't reprise the Fourth Doctor as he said it was too recent after his departure for being in the role for seven years. The Two Doctors and Time Crash had the current actors of Colin Baker and David Tennant interacting with a classic incarnation played by the original actors, Patrick Troughton in one case and Peter Davison in the other. Day of the Doctor was meant to have Christopher Eccleston reprise the Ninth Doctor but instead had John Hurt as the War Doctor so it wasn't quite The Three NuWho Doctors we all wanted but it was close enough. Twice Upon A Time had David Bradley playing the First Doctor.
Tom Baker has since expressed regret at not doing The Five Doctors. I stopped watching during Capaldi's time because it was, uh, not good. Might have to watch Twice Upon a Time, though. Didn't know it was a multi-doctor episode.
You can't tease us Americans with something so freaking cool like this and then not let us see it 🥲 this is amazing, and I hope it comes to America some day!
At first, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee didn't like each other because they had very different acting methods. Troughton prefers to ad-lib, while Pertwee prefers to stick to the scripts. Ultimately, they settled their disputes and became long friends. They continued their mock arguments in Who conventions until Troughton died.
RIP to all the major characters except Katy Manning and John Levene. All the supporting cast had passed away, Mrs. Ollis was the last surviving member (died in 2023).

That would be INSANE BRO... Having Omega be more calculated and vengeful would be amazing. I've always imagined a new suit but similar to the 70s design along with a scene taking place high up (like Anakin Vs Obi-Wan except not as fast paced). Omega goes in for all the strikes with his staff and the Doctor has no choice but to participate and defend himself and those around him by using a rod to deflect his hits. Ncuti is bruised up and clothes are torn and Omega is just throwing hits after hits.
