Thanks for making this video and very helpful. It’s now very risky buying colones online or from places like eBay. I just got the code edp from eBay and before opening, I wanted to check and so far, I think I got the real one.
It’s also hard to tell if you buy an open box tester. Since Profumo is now discontinued I wanted to get it before it was more expensive l. So I bought a 3.7oz. from eBay and it turned out to be real from 2016 batch code when it first came out. The only thing was it was only 85% full when I turn upside down. So the seller gave me a 50% refund. So just from smelling from the nozzle it smell strong and glad I got the older batch formula. So I know this is an older video and wondering when they change the formula? Also does anyone know why cologne companies keep changing the formula when they have a big hit cologne?

My code profumo 60ml is exactly the same as the authentic except it doesn’t have the writing on the side that says ‘ARMANI CODE PROFUMO PARFUM POUR HOMME GIORGIO ARMANI’. The bottle is also exactly the same as the authentic one. Think it’s authentic?
I never saw 60ml fakes. Beeing a smaller size it can not have the same info displayed. I do not own a 60ml so I don't know for sure the info that is displayed but you can search for pictures on the internet. If you bought it from a trusted seller, you should not worry about buying a fake.
I'm impressed by the batch code on your real bottle. It's a March, 2017 batch. I recently purchased a 200 ml bottle from an authorized retailer and it's June, 2016 batch. I returned it because it didn't have the phenomenal performance I experienced from a tester in a dept. store. I wonder if we should buy the smaller bottles because those might be produced more often, so there's a chance of getting fresher bottles than with the large sizes which have limited runs.
Shave- a-thon The juice is produced at the same time and bottled in different sizes. Yours was probably kept in bad conditions. This type of fragrance is best used in colder weather. If you used that tester in warmer weather then you will not be able to have a fair comparison between the two.

I came back to watch this video because someone was having a problem with their recently purchased bottle and I thought it would be a good time to reply to my old comment. I originally purchased the bottle direct from Armani USA and was surprised they sent out a 15 month old bottle. I assumed it had to be an unopened return from a dept. store to still be in their warehouse for so long. The next month they exchanged two 200 ml bottles I had purchased (one for a friend) and sent four 110 ml bottles with a July, 2017 batch date in return. In addition, as a gift, they threw in a 75 ml bottle of Acqua di Gio Profumo Special Blend! For that, I always mention how great L'Oreal's customer service is (their Luxury Brands produces Armani Fragrances).

I still did not open the Stronger With You Freeze and Stronger With You Intensely. I have those two sealed. I revisited this one as someone recently was questioning a bottle they bought. I just noticed @ 3:43, that several of the ingredients on the fake were misspelled. Isoeugenol was spelled "isegenol" without a "u" and the color numbers for yellow and red were wrong.
I don't know why in this case the entire text displayment at the back of the fake is lower than the authentic. Maybe the first Code Profumo looked like that and my authentic is a later version. Or maybe the crooks just copied the Code EdT back and pasted it on this Code Profumo box.

Secondly, the formula they used on the first line is the same formula code on your authentic bottle (and mine). At 3:45, you'll notice the formula code is 560196 01. Armani always has the formula code on the first line before the first ingredient. Other houses state "Ref"before the formula code. If they copied the edt, the formula code would be different. That's the problem with all the fragrance reviews on TH-cam. If these reviewers were mentioning batch code and formula code in every review or at least in the "show more" area for the last decade, we would know every reformulation date for every fragrance. For example, the 2019 bottle of Code Profumo has a code of 560196 03, and several of the ingredients have changed.

The aforementioned code of 560196 01 is the code for the production and size bottle. The FIL formula code is B1756777/1 seen @ 0:44. FIL stands for fragrance ingredients list. I was hoping that you had a 2016 batch so I could see if the formula code was different the year before your March, 2017 bottle was released. My guess is that it was too soon to reformulate.
I don't look at the clock when I spray a fragrance on but it lasts a good while. It depends if you wash or shower often as well. It performs very well. Keep in mind that mine is an older batch, I do not know if it has been reformulated or not. Test it first. The fragrance works at it's best in colder weather.
So I bought an Armani Code Absolu on eBay and it looked almost exactly like the real version except the tube in the middle was not perpendicular and the scent faded into nothing within minutes. Do you think I have a fake? It had a batch code on the bottle and a white tester box with no batch code. I mean either it's fake, heavily diluted, or I have lost all sense of smell.
Check the atomizer and the bottom of the glass to coincide with the real I showed in my video. The tube inside the bottle is not perpendicular, mine falls to one side from what I remember, I think you can see that in the video as well. All my videos have chapters with time stamps in the video description, it will take you directly to the part of the presentation you are specifically interested in.
I just watched this again hoping that you had an original 2016 batch (yours is 2017) so I could see the formula code on the box. I just noticed something else on the labels at 7:10. The real bottle label correctly prints it as a "parfum" while the fake label calls it an "eau de parfum"!

I did a real vs fake for the first Aqua version. You can see that on my channel. I did not see any fakes on the Aqua woth the blue bottle. I do not own Y EdP so I will not do that one. I do not know of there are fakes for that one, I did not look. Everything you see on these videos is beeing done from my own time, my own resources, my own money, I prefer shooting videos on fragrances that I could use as well, even so I do not use all of them. I have others on my next to do list: - MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 EdP - Roja Elysium Cologne - TF Tuscan Leather I also want to do a video on different fakes of Aventus : 75ml, 100ml and 120ml. Thank you for this video. I had a feeling I had a fake, but couldn’t put my finger quite on what the differences were until I watched your video, and am fighting for a refund of a purchase but with real evidence in hand now. The new fakes are a little less obvious in the box (text positioning has been corrected and there are now batch numbers) but the bottle is even more obviously fake, including the black band around the top of the bottle actually coming off as part of the cap. Plus, the “juice” inside is golden when real, and clear (and heavily diluted with alcohol as you mentioned) in the fakes.
Sorry to hear you have a fake. There are many counterfeit manufacturers, this is why fakes have different qualities. Some look good, some look bad. But still, a fake is a fake.
Great video I got a fake on eBay and I was surprised how many people fall for the fake ,the seller sold like 50 bottles for 40 dollars The fake smell really good and last a long time I got my money back and got the real one. @@aspankul23 The amount of sprays depends on what you are used to. If you are a happy trigger guy, you will spray more. It also depends where you are from, if you are in a humid environment or a dry one, depends on the temperature also ... but all those mentioned are things for too much analysis. If your Code Profumo is authentic it should have good performance.
@@tattoofun2003 i m from india...tropical country...we have dry winters here...i bought profumo from authentic outlet n it fits all the critera shown by u...i nvr found it beast mode projecting...when i spray on hand it stays close to skin for a long time but projection is average
Cristiano Vieira even if you would use the same bottle as me, your body chemestry is different than mine, so you may get different results than me. I do get very good performance from my Code Profumo. It smells really good.
Fragrance Tattoo Saw one of your comments in Seb's fall list that Herod that does not perform on your skin. I've got a second hand bottle of Oajan and it only last around 3 hours on me and projection is on the weak side. Hmmm, will wait for your video on fake PDMs.
Also many of the fake seller use stock photos. About the height, hard to check if you have the real or fake. Meaning if you have only one bottle, hard to know if you have the tall or short one. Also bc I have many Code colognes, the sizing makes it hard to know if it’s real or not. Meaning they have different sizes it seems for different colognes. Like for Profumo they make 3.7 and for the original Code I think they call black is 4.2 but they are they same height. I’m guessing one is wider or where they put the ribbon on the newer bottles, it doesn’t fill all the way up, compared to the original Code without the ribbon that filled all the way to the bottom of the cap. Mam I’m turning into a cologne nerd. Lol!

I do not own Code Absolu so I will not do that video. I do the videos in a way that can teach anyone how to spot the fakes. So, if you watch this video of Code Profumo you can learn how to spot other fake Code fragrances. The fakes will always have mistakes that can give it away : ugly celophane, bad folding, messed up lettering on the box, bad cap or atomizer, etc.
Drinor Thaqi I do not own any Hugo Boss fragrance so I can not help you with that info but I did saw fakes on Just Different (one with black color and one with red color).
It’s strange I just rebought a new and sealed bottle of this so wanted to go over this video and compare it with my old bottle and while I do believe they are both authentic with some help from you there are a couple differences on the box and bottle compared to my other one and it turns out it’s a much older batch even earlier than yours which have similar numbers mine is 38p3o1 everything is identical the bottles the size, color and shape, of the font the texture of the font on the box the lids are interchangeable and indistinguishable and as far as I can tell the scents are also identical no big alcohol blast like I see is a common theme among fakes but the 2 big differences between the 2 are the color of the font on the back of the box which is identical to my older box markings batch code location etc but the color of the font on the back is gold on this older batch box with a silver bar code and all of the fonts and symbols on the bottom of the box are the same metallic gold color and the atomizer itself is black was wondering if anyone has an old bottle and can confirm this? Like I said I don’t have any doubt it’s authentic just am not sure if testers or early batches or even oaverseas packaging and bottles could explain this or do I just have some kind of manufacturer anomaly
The P from the batch means it's 2017. It could be that in that month of the manufacturing they changed some of the aesthetics. I don't know if there is another place of manufacturing on other continents than Europe that could justify that on the same batch of a specific month there are different aesthetics. If anyone that reads this could add more, feel free to add your comment here.
Mine is 38p302, also 2017. The font on the packaging is indeed golden. And the aromizer cap is black. But: mine is probably a fake. I bought it on the streets 😂
I got me this one a couple if days ago... 10/10. F-N crooks mocking this legendary fragrance. I wonder, since I have never (and never will) purchased a fake, do they cost less than the authentic? Once again, thanks for your fine work.
Jonathan Rios It depends on who is selling them, the fakes do sell sometimes for the same price as the authentics. Fakes tend to have higher prices lately because they resemble more to the authentics than they did in the past. Also, if the fakes are beeing sold in countries that are far from the place where they are manufactured they will have higher prices due to shipping and handling costs.
@@nemesis4730 I just checked them out. I see Flipkart is a website from India. They sell a lot of things, from tv to clothing. I don't find any Armani Code Profumo there but I see that Bvlgari has the right prices so it should be authentic 100%. When the fragrance arrives take a close look at the celophane wrap first, if it's quality then you should not worry.
Just bought a botthe of this parfume, but 4.2 Oz from a gipsy guy on the street. Either it’s original, or a much better fake. It’s actually like your oroginal. Even the batch number from the bottle correaponds to the packaging one. And smells kinda good)))

@@victordililah No gipsy will have an authentic to sell. They only deal with crap. Does not matter who manufactured the fake, the chemical compounds inside the counterfeits don't follow Healthcare Legislation, don't use them. Don't let it touch your skin and don't inhale it.
If you got a fake it's never enough to send it back. That is the easiest thing to do. You have the obligation to report it to you local authorities and also report the seller. Your local authorities will send the case to the authorities close to the seller and rhe case will be assigned and investigated. That is the way to deal with fakers.

That would be interesting. Do you buy all your real bottles from authorized retailers? I wanted to buy Eros from one of the leading discounters but many reviews mention they're getting weak performance and Eros is supposed to be strong.
Shave- a-thon Until you don't try a fragrance by yourself you should not listen to anyone else. People have different perception of things. However, reformulations do occur and they are not good for fragrances when it comes to performance. Eros could be the case. I am currently searching for a 2012-2013 batch, just to be sure I get the full experience. When I will get it ai will do a real vs fake video.

I bought a 60ml code profumo online and received it today. Im concerned its a fake. The bottle looks legit like your real one , besides the weight since mine is a 60ml 2.oz. I was suppose to get a tester in a white tester box but i received it in a retail package and that too does look legit. Instead there was just a sticker placed on the back of the retail box that said tester .the box had a tiny rip and no cellophane. Have you ever seen testers come in retail packaging? The bottle passed every inspection test and totally looks legit. My problem is performance. I get no where near the beast mode projection or sillage that every reviewer talks about. I own a lot of edts that perform better in all categories. Even la nuit de lhomme performs better in terms of projection on me than thism. Its pretty strong for the first 30 minutes or so when sprayed 3 sprays on my neck but after that i rarely get whiffs. It lasted pretty well on my hand if i stick my nose up to it but even well known poor performers will too. Considering everything, that the box and bottle look legit just like your real one , but that the tester bottle i received came in a used looking retail box with a sticker that says tester on it, the very poor performance i get , do you think its authentic? Im considering writing the seller . i also saw other code profumo testers did come in a white tester box . mine did not . any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Also forgot to add that i also sprayed 1 spray of rassasi tasmeem on my other hand . later i took a shower and when i got out i applied the code profumo . about 30 minutes later i went outside and i was getting whiffs of the rasasi tasmeem over the profumo even after a shower! Lol. Just frustrating.
Rasasi does do concentrated fragrances that do last longer than designers. It does not mean that if a gragrance is cheap it can not last. About the Code Profumo, it is hard to say only from your info, what is important is to compare it against an authentic sample you can buy from a authorised retailer in your area. On me, Code Profumo has good performance, you might have different body chemistry and it could be that your skin absorbs quickly the liquid and could make it short lived. You know where you bought it from, if it was a shady seller and if his fragrances are cheap and most of them are faulty in presentation, than you probably have a fake. It does not matter if you have a white box or the original black box, fakes could come in each type of those boxes.

kaZ I am not into Pure XS at all. I did test it and it is not for me. I did saw fake Pure XS, I don't think I will do a video on it at this point. I do have others on the "to do list": Fahrenheit, Terre d'Hermes, Black Orchid, Back to Black, Eros and a few others.
My Aunt gave me a bottle of the fake stuff (I was 15 and thought it was real), I really fell in love with it, I got mad at it cause it only lasted like 5 minutes though 😂 so when I found out I had a fake... not to long ago (I’m 17 now).. I bought the real one, can’t wait till it gets here. I mean if I fell in love with the fake, I’m sure I’ll love the real one even more 😂
Just received my fake Armani. Basically if it's not seem less and perfect you have a fake. Everything was wrong on my bottle and box. Both EDT and EDP and Parfum were stated on the box🤣 what a joke
Sorry to hear that. Please report the seller to Armani and also to your local police department. File a complaint, the police department will send your complaint to the place from where the fake was shipped from. They wil take it from here.

I just watched this again hoping that you had an original 2016 batch (yours is 2017) so I could see the formula code on the box. I just noticed something else on the labels at 7:10. The real bottle label correctly prints it as a "parfum" while the fake label calls it an "eau de parfum"!
Yes. The authentic has the "parfum" on the sticker. The fake has "eau de parfum" on the sticker.

I did a real vs fake for the first Aqua version. You can see that on my channel.
I did not see any fakes on the Aqua woth the blue bottle.
I do not own Y EdP so I will not do that one. I do not know of there are fakes for that one, I did not look.

Thank you for this video. I had a feeling I had a fake, but couldn’t put my finger quite on what the differences were until I watched your video, and am fighting for a refund of a purchase but with real evidence in hand now. The new fakes are a little less obvious in the box (text positioning has been corrected and there are now batch numbers) but the bottle is even more obviously fake, including the black band around the top of the bottle actually coming off as part of the cap. Plus, the “juice” inside is golden when real, and clear (and heavily diluted with alcohol as you mentioned) in the fakes.

There are many counterfeit manufacturers, this is why fakes have different qualities. Some look good, some look bad. But still, a fake is a fake.
Are the caps on the real one magnetic?
It's not magnetic, but it has a fit into place snap like shape, you can only put it in one way, you can not rotate it.

@@aspankul23 The amount of sprays depends on what you are used to. If you are a happy trigger guy, you will spray more. It also depends where you are from, if you are in a humid environment or a dry one, depends on the temperature also ... but all those mentioned are things for too much analysis.
If your Code Profumo is authentic it should have good performance.

Fragrance Tattoo Saw one of your comments in Seb's fall list that Herod that does not perform on your skin. I've got a second hand bottle of Oajan and it only last around 3 hours on me and projection is on the weak side. Hmmm, will wait for your video on fake PDMs.
Also many of the fake seller use stock photos. About the height, hard to check if you have the real or fake. Meaning if you have only one bottle, hard to know if you have the tall or short one.
Also bc I have many Code colognes, the sizing makes it hard to know if it’s real or not. Meaning they have different sizes it seems for different colognes. Like for Profumo they make 3.7 and for the original Code I think they call black is 4.2 but they are they same height. I’m guessing one is wider or where they put the ribbon on the newer bottles, it doesn’t fill all the way up, compared to the original Code without the ribbon that filled all the way to the bottom of the cap.

I do the videos in a way that can teach anyone how to spot the fakes.
So, if you watch this video of Code Profumo you can learn how to spot other fake Code fragrances. The fakes will always have mistakes that can give it away : ugly celophane, bad folding, messed up lettering on the box, bad cap or atomizer, etc.

Drinor Thaqi I do not own any Hugo Boss fragrance so I can not help you with that info but I did saw fakes on Just Different (one with black color and one with red color).
It’s strange I just rebought a new and sealed bottle of this so wanted to go over this video and compare it with my old bottle and while I do believe they are both authentic with some help from you there are a couple differences on the box and bottle compared to my other one and it turns out it’s a much older batch even earlier than yours which have similar numbers mine is 38p3o1 everything is identical the bottles the size, color and shape, of the font the texture of the font on the box the lids are interchangeable and indistinguishable and as far as I can tell the scents are also identical no big alcohol blast like I see is a common theme among fakes but the 2 big differences between the 2 are the color of the font on the back of the box which is identical to my older box markings batch code location etc but the color of the font on the back is gold on this older batch box with a silver bar code and all of the fonts and symbols on the bottom of the box are the same metallic gold color and the atomizer itself is black was wondering if anyone has an old bottle and can confirm this? Like I said I don’t have any doubt it’s authentic just am not sure if testers or early batches or even oaverseas packaging and bottles could explain this or do I just have some kind of manufacturer anomaly
The P from the batch means it's 2017.
It could be that in that month of the manufacturing they changed some of the aesthetics. I don't know if there is another place of manufacturing on other continents than Europe that could justify that on the same batch of a specific month there are different aesthetics. If anyone that reads this could add more, feel free to add your comment here.
Mine is 38p302, also 2017. The font on the packaging is indeed golden. And the aromizer cap is black. But: mine is probably a fake. I bought it on the streets 😂

Jonathan Rios It depends on who is selling them, the fakes do sell sometimes for the same price as the authentics. Fakes tend to have higher prices lately because they resemble more to the authentics than they did in the past. Also, if the fakes are beeing sold in countries that are far from the place where they are manufactured they will have higher prices due to shipping and handling costs.

I don't find any Armani Code Profumo there but I see that Bvlgari has the right prices so it should be authentic 100%. When the fragrance arrives take a close look at the celophane wrap first, if it's quality then you should not worry.

Just bought a botthe of this parfume, but 4.2 Oz from a gipsy guy on the street. Either it’s original, or a much better fake. It’s actually like your oroginal. Even the batch number from the bottle correaponds to the packaging one. And smells kinda good)))
Don't use any fake. It's not good for your health amd people around you, even if it smells close to the authentic.

If you got a fake it's never enough to send it back. That is the easiest thing to do.
You have the obligation to report it to you local authorities and also report the seller. Your local authorities will send the case to the authorities close to the seller and rhe case will be assigned and investigated.
That is the way to deal with fakers.

Shave- a-thon Until you don't try a fragrance by yourself you should not listen to anyone else. People have different perception of things. However, reformulations do occur and they are not good for fragrances when it comes to performance. Eros could be the case. I am currently searching for a 2012-2013 batch, just to be sure I get the full experience. When I will get it ai will do a real vs fake video.

I bought a 60ml code profumo online and received it today. Im concerned its a fake. The bottle looks legit like your real one , besides the weight since mine is a 60ml 2.oz. I was suppose to get a tester in a white tester box but i received it in a retail package and that too does look legit. Instead there was just a sticker placed on the back of the retail box that said tester .the box had a tiny rip and no cellophane. Have you ever seen testers come in retail packaging? The bottle passed every inspection test and totally looks legit. My problem is performance. I get no where near the beast mode projection or sillage that every reviewer talks about. I own a lot of edts that perform better in all categories. Even la nuit de lhomme performs better in terms of projection on me than thism. Its pretty strong for the first 30 minutes or so when sprayed 3 sprays on my neck but after that i rarely get whiffs. It lasted pretty well on my hand if i stick my nose up to it but even well known poor performers will too. Considering everything, that the box and bottle look legit just like your real one , but that the tester bottle i received came in a used looking retail box with a sticker that says tester on it, the very poor performance i get , do you think its authentic? Im considering writing the seller . i also saw other code profumo testers did come in a white tester box . mine did not . any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Also forgot to add that i also sprayed 1 spray of rassasi tasmeem on my other hand . later i took a shower and when i got out i applied the code profumo . about 30 minutes later i went outside and i was getting whiffs of the rasasi tasmeem over the profumo even after a shower! Lol. Just frustrating.
Rasasi does do concentrated fragrances that do last longer than designers. It does not mean that if a gragrance is cheap it can not last.
About the Code Profumo, it is hard to say only from your info, what is important is to compare it against an authentic sample you can buy from a authorised retailer in your area.
On me, Code Profumo has good performance, you might have different body chemistry and it could be that your skin absorbs quickly the liquid and could make it short lived.
You know where you bought it from, if it was a shady seller and if his fragrances are cheap and most of them are faulty in presentation, than you probably have a fake.
It does not matter if you have a white box or the original black box, fakes could come in each type of those boxes.

Sorry to hear that. Please report the seller to Armani and also to your local police department. File a complaint, the police department will send your complaint to the place from where the fake was shipped from. They wil take it from here.
