This was so good and the longer format is way better. We owe it to the vets to let them tell their stories as fully as possible. What a great job elijah streams, w4e all appreciate this very much.

I watched all the other episodes but this is the episode that got me. I was moved and touched deeply by this heroes story. I now want to know how to navigate using the tool he had as a Navy navigator. Inspiring

I count Lyle Hicks s one of my closest military brothers although we did not serve together. Lyle and the Bend Band of Brothers were an essential part of my healing from all of the ghosts from military life to civilian. Lyle is not only a true patriot but a true man of GOD. Love you brother!!

I really like American Warriors, being a Vet no matter what branch anyone who has served in I consider a Brother or Sister in Arms. I liked the longer format and even longer would be just fine with me. Thank You for doing this. GOD Bless !

God bless you, Lyle, for your service! I was moved to tears as you described having to leave people who saw you as their only hope. We live such insulated lives in America, but our freedoms have cost folks everything. Of course war greatly affected you; I am glad you were able to get help, and in turn help others. Thank you for your service and I thank your family for their sacrifices. God bless you.

Thank you Mr Hicks for your service and for sharing your story. I believe you just saved more lives by telling your personal story. As for the length of the interviews, the longer the better. We need to hear the hearts of our true heros to inspire new heroes. God Bless you for this series. I hope it never ends, and God Bless Elijah Streams for keeping us centered on what really matters, Jesus Christ!❤

These individual stories are so moving. I go through at least 4 tissues when I watch one. My husband's older brother was a medic in Vietnam. He died by stepping on a landmine retrieving an injured soldier. Such a waste of precious life!

Good for you. We let kids watch horrid things on TV but they need to be educated about these things just like the Israelite children witnessed the Egyptians washing up on the shore of the Red Sea.

I really love the new longer format, especially because I really enjoy hearing details and more about these courageous men. This episode was very well done, and even though I cried, it was just so good. To Mr. Hicks, thank you for sharing a portion of your life and story with us; God richly bless you sir, and thank you for your service. To American Warriors, thank you for bringing this story, and all the others to us; the excellent way you let these good folks tell their stories is remarkable. God bless y'all!

love the new longer show, and the series itself. I have always been interested in true war stories, especially since I learned more and more about WW 2. As a child I was horrified and as I became an adult I cried and still cry. Viet Nam had the same effect. Listening to these stories helps me pray more for our warriors, including my WW2 dad. I was so proud of him and had a special bond with him because he shared so many stories with me. If the program were two or four hours long, I would still look forward to watching their stories. Thank you for giving them the opportunity to share.

Your story helped me to better understand what Sargent Jerry Stockman was experiencing before he went to be with Jesus a couple years ago. He also was a Navy guy. He had married a Vietnamese girl who was killed shortly after they married during a bombing raid. He said that some of those guys became cold-blooded killers. They would shoot the citizens of the villages as they were just sitting on their porches and laugh.
He witnessed Buddhist monks setting themselves on fire in protest of the war and senseless killing of their people. The horrible memories of his time in Vietnam haunted him most of his life. I think he was 68 at the time of his death.
Thank you again for sharing your story.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us...I find it gut wrenching that government politicians have trespassed against the men and women who have served and are serving today in the military. God have mercy on their souls.

It's a difficult but huge blessing to get these glimpses into the sacrifices our veterans made. It's needed now more than ever amidst the rhetoric that seeks to discount heritage and patriotism and national pride, unnecessarily encouraged (created?) by Obama's weak and embarrassing international apologies trip I suppose. My prayer is that in the wave of change the Lord is bringing to our nation and world, there will be a great Resurgence of honor of our heritage.
My sincere thanks also to all whose stories don't make it in here. I have the honor of working daily with a naval veteran who flew off carriers in Vietnam.

Can I give a couple suggestions? I am a millennial and I want to support this show. It is so well made, production editing is infallible. I think why I’m not super excited to tune in even though I set reminders is because it’s not live. Especially right now when people Are feeling so isolated I think we want to feel like the guest speaker is speaking to us. Like on Elijah streams it’s live and Steve does an incredible job asking questions that the audience watching would ask. Would it be possible to do one show like that on here? Live? So that the younger generation can learn from these hero’s. I feel this is more heart catching than even the best cinematography.

Like when things are live I feel like I need to watch it RIGHT NOW because I might miss something. When they are not I feel like I can go back and watch it anytime and then often forget to do so.
