I've experienced stranger dogs leaning on me. I love dogs, have no idea why they do it, but it's really nice when they do.

I was at the beach once and someone had a domestic dingo. When I was speaking to the owner, the dingo leaned against my legs and allowed me to pat his head. The owner was shocked, saying that the dingo rarely displays such a show of trust and had never done that to a stranger
My best friends dog always leans on my the second I sit down on the couch. He is the cutest.

It's just too cute when my dog does it, but now it's getting annoying because my dog thinks he can hog my bed😂
I had a very protective dog one time, He know when a stranger approaching was a danger. His ears went back, he showed his teeth and leaned into me. I could go anywhere with him and not feel in danger. One time, at the beach another dog came over to me. I went to pet him and my dog lifted his leg on me. Showing I belonged to him.
I left her in the car with Windows open of course when I came back she sat on me I think she said mommy! Don’t leave this car again lol

I saved 3 kittens, after 20 days i.e. yesterday i gave them bath for teaks.
1 of 3 died yesterday. Other seems off today. I went to vet he said she is too small for any treatment. Temperature is Normal.

I’ve had Dachshunds for years and when I’m in my favorite chair my Dachshund is standing there waiting for an invitation to join me. I do a good job of keeping her from jumping up on the furniture. Only because Im mindful of back problems these pups can have. So I pick her up..As I type she’s lounged out next me..snoring actually… She’s my pal. I feed her..walk her.. and shes secure sitting with me..I had to say good bye to my male Dachshund recently and put him down as age caught up with him. If he was here he’d be up here to.. I wouldn’t have it any other way..

I doubt anyone will find my comment but when I call my dog to me every single time she stands with her body leaning against my legs but when my mom calls her she sits in front of my mom. Does anyone know why she does a different thing with both of us?
Hi! It's likely to do with the type of relationship the dog has with each of you. Perhaps they feel more protective over you and will stay by your side to ensure your safety, but doesn't feel the same about your mom. It's only a theory, but dogs have their own preferences and different relationships to different people, so it is not uncommon for them to behave accordingly.
