    So glad I found your channel. I have a white bird of Paradise that was big and beautiful when it came to me from the nursery by immediately died I’m sure due to temperature so I cut it back all the way back and gave up on it, put it outside, didn’t water it left it there for 2-3 months and suddenly I see growth and so I brought it back inside watered it and fertilized it and I’m hoping that I can start over with this plant now it has two new leaves growing!!
    Thank you for this video!! 🌱

    Very educational! Trying this with my damaged indoor bird of paradise plant! Wish I started during spring to get the full seasons of sunshine but I’m relieved to know the recovery process can be done indoors! Thanks for the video!!!

    Excellent helpful tips, thank you 👍 I had 3 leaves & they all went brown, dry & curly. I've chopped them off before watching you & you've confirmed that I did right.
    🤞🤞🤞 next year I get better leaves 😁

    My Bird of paradise has two leaves which to not want to uncurl for several months now. I've removed al lthe old leaves and renewd the soil, as it has a lot of roots and some where rotten. Will it survive? It is growing indoors.

    Love this video. I moved to a new house and my leaves are turning white. What does that mean? I don’t know how to fix it. Plant is 9 ft tall and flourished at my old house.

      Leaves often turn white when there is not enough sunlight. Leaves that turn white will not grow back. Cut it and wait for the next leaf to appear. If you're lucky, leaves that are accustomed to the environment will emerge.

    Is this plant seasonal? It is summer here in Australia. My large BOP plant leaves got damaged by strong winds. There has been no growth of any new leaves over 2 months. Not sure if the plant is dead or not

    Hello, I had to cut ALL leaves off my plant due to accidental frost exposure. Root/rhizome still seems strong. Is it still possible to regrow the leaves and should I cut the rhizome in half to make 2 plants to improve chances? Or leave it as one rhizome?

    • @japaneseplantmeisterzen8297
      @japaneseplantmeisterzen8297  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Roots can survive frost damage, so when the weather warms up put them in the sun. It's okay to cut off all the leaves. If you are lucky, beautiful shoots will appear after a while.

    Thank you! Question: My bird of paradise is growing black hard dots on the leaves. I can scratch them off. But they always grow back. It's getting very intense. I don't see any information online about it. I'm not sure if it's insets or it's normal. Do you know what that might be?

    • @japaneseplantmeisterzen8297
      @japaneseplantmeisterzen8297  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your question. If the black spots can be removed by scratching, it may be caused by insects. If you cannot remove them by scratching, it may be due to a disease. How about using insecticides to get rid of the pests?
