I've been lucky to have a good father figure, and proud to still have him at age 68. But my dad himself didn't had a chance for his father to watch him grow. My grandfather passed away at age 43 and had progressive viewpoints for his era. My dad was a teenager when he passed away. He finally opened up about his feelings a few weeks ago.
