Korean here. I dont play this game, but last year somehow I followed the Vellmori drama on both korean side and western side(mostly on reddit). I still remember the redditors believing all the misinfo from twitter and labelling any corrector as an incel. Korean twitter is a hotbed of activists which makes it hard to get undistorted info when it comes to gender conflict but how would foreigners know this? As a spectator who were able to cross check korean source and translated one it was just frustrating to watch incitement process in real time. It's already been a year and the damage is done but it's so refreshing to watch this surprisingly well-researched video made by foreigner. Even Koreans will not be able to cover it as good as you did.

I'm not gonna lie, from all the people who make videos about controversy, feminism, etc, you are the only one who makes them actually enjoyable. All the others go into changing their followers' view, taking stances, and supporting the same type of harassment they are preaching against; but towards the people they don't share opinions with. I quite enjoy that yours feel more like documentaries than anything, and that instead of filling time with useless criticism you actually present the whole truth from various views and sources. I find it sad that one of the many end results that stemmed from this, is not just the mass exodus of genuinely cool people from the fandom, but also how a few have actively and entirely turned their hate towards Project Moon. One artist that I used to follow (Not going to name them) used to make some pretty cute Xiao art. I loved their aesthetic and wanted to study it at some point, but then they deleted all the art they made, changed the account handle and turned completely to the point of posting hateful messages and constantly reposting anything related to Korean politics. Even with all the evidence clarified and the heat surrounding the issue dying down... I still find it baffling to see them still involved with this 'red bands', barely even doing anything else. Choosing to turn their life into what could only be described as a raging hate train that would absolutely refuse to change direction or even slow down- I'm not even sure why they continue to pursue their path after what's now an entire year. Maybe they chose to be absolutely stuck in their mindset of hatred- maybe they chose to become an activist and nothing else because of how bad the gender war is. Either way- thanks for making this video. I appreciate you for further solidifying why Kim JiHoon is best Director lol, if this is what his opposition looks like then I have not much to worry about

I remember in the midst of the summer event going on, i heard a grave piece of misinformation (its so ridiculous that i can't believe it to be true, nor will i claim it is). A group of people calling themselves "The Reverberation Ensemble" (this is what i was told) showed up to either PM's shop, HamHamPangPang, or their office protesting about the Ishmael IDs. This made me laugh so hard that I fell out of my barstool and bruise my elbow on a foot massaging machine.
They did call themselves the Reverberation Ensemble, there were many memes made about that at the time. From the posts I archived from the time. The first person who showed up was Argalia. There was Oswald and there was another person known as the "seven association guy" who interviewed the koreans who went there. It was a ragtag group of random korean fans with different reasons for showing up, but it really wasn't about the Ishmael ID(as shown in the video) I remember when people started called PMUA/KGCS Iori's association, it was pretty funny.

It's not this style of video that I dislike, as essays are fun to make. That's why I still like vids like thge State of the Internet one (though parts of it were hard to write). I dont think people really understand how bad the gender war in Korea has become and is still progressing. Like, we're talking about how most younger Koreans are ready to leave the country since the expectations for the males are beyond paraody at this point, but the anger and violence that women are receiving for becoming more independent rivals that to being a womsn in a Tailban occupatied country. Everything is iut in the open as well when you look at media for example. on one side, the most popular storylines for women is isekai i to a better world were we feel like we have autonomy and agancy. On the other, men have been going into harem/relationship mangwa since they feel alone and want to feel wanted. So many of these issues are things we're seeing and coming to terms with around the world as well, and other cultures have been working though it once they identify the problem of late-stage capitalism causing stress on everyone. From the salary man having to stay late just to brush the boss' ego, to the average working professional women who's glass ceiling stops at being someone's secretary at best, or being slowly shuffled iut of the company for having kids at worse. KGCS is like someone looking at this and going "actually, the fix for everything is if we just keep letting the stats quo happen and just harass the people who seem like they're rocking the boat. Theres no problem if the problem didnt exist snymore, so let's make sure no one talkis about the problem!"

I was drawn to this channel because of your very down to earth attitude about things in general. Like, we can all laugh about terminally online internet users, but I find very few people are able to remain both funny while also remaining grounded enough to look at people like this with disgust and not be playing it up. I still remember the redditors believing all the misinfo from twitter and labelling any corrector as an incel. Korean twitter is a hotbed of activists which makes it hard to get undistorted info when it comes to gender conflict but how would foreigners know this? As a spectator who were able to cross check korean source and translated one it was just frustrating to watch incitement process in real time.

I quite enjoy that yours feel more like documentaries than anything, and that instead of filling time with useless criticism you actually present the whole truth from various views and sources. Great video.
I find it sad that one of the many end results that stemmed from this, is not just the mass exodus of genuinely cool people from the fandom, but also how a few have actively and entirely turned their hate towards Project Moon.
One artist that I used to follow (Not going to name them) used to make some pretty cute Xiao art. I loved their aesthetic and wanted to study it at some point, but then they deleted all the art they made, changed the account handle and turned completely to the point of posting hateful messages and constantly reposting anything related to Korean politics.
Even with all the evidence clarified and the heat surrounding the issue dying down... I still find it baffling to see them still involved with this 'red bands', barely even doing anything else. Choosing to turn their life into what could only be described as a raging hate train that would absolutely refuse to change direction or even slow down- I'm not even sure why they continue to pursue their path after what's now an entire year. Maybe they chose to be absolutely stuck in their mindset of hatred- maybe they chose to become an activist and nothing else because of how bad the gender war is.
Either way- thanks for making this video. I appreciate you for further solidifying why Kim JiHoon is best Director lol, if this is what his opposition looks like then I have not much to worry about

I remember in the midst of the summer event going on, i heard a grave piece of misinformation (its so ridiculous that i can't believe it to be true, nor will i claim it is). A group of people calling themselves "The Reverberation Ensemble" (this is what i was told) showed up to either PM's shop, HamHamPangPang, or their office protesting about the Ishmael IDs. This made me laugh so hard that I fell out of my barstool and bruise my elbow on a foot massaging machine.
They did call themselves the Reverberation Ensemble, there were many memes made about that at the time. From the posts I archived from the time. The first person who showed up was Argalia. There was Oswald and there was another person known as the "seven association guy" who interviewed the koreans who went there. It was a ragtag group of random korean fans with different reasons for showing up, but it really wasn't about the Ishmael ID(as shown in the video)
I remember when people started called PMUA/KGCS Iori's association, it was pretty funny.

Like, we're talking about how most younger Koreans are ready to leave the country since the expectations for the males are beyond paraody at this point, but the anger and violence that women are receiving for becoming more independent rivals that to being a womsn in a Tailban occupatied country.

I sure do love that Shift Up story getting covered up by a controversy which was spawned from basically nothing getting escalated by an insane degree. Also what kind of excuse is it to say that it not breaking labor laws and that it was common meant there wasn’t a point to bring it up? Like they had a huge spotlight on them where they could expose another game studio for exploiting and mistreating a woman but they just chose not to. Also just as a random side note thank you and anyone else who helped with this video for making it since this topic is so messy that it's hard to keep track of, so it helps people like me with only a few brain cells actually tell what happened. I also didn't really expect audible noise to have been locked in this whole time with hundreds of hours of research, but I hope that having to look at all that stuff isn't taking too much of a toll on either of you and anyone else who's been helping with gathering info on this.

I was drawn to this channel because of your very down to earth attitude about things in general. Like, we can all laugh about terminally online internet users, but I find very few people are able to remain both funny while also remaining grounded enough to look at people like this with disgust and not be playing it up. Funnily enough, this calm headed take has made me a lot less scared of touching project moon games in general.

Despite how you may feel about making a video like this, I really appreciate you going out of your way to make it. Trying to learn anything about this topic as an outsider is frustrating and really shows the limits of machine translation, though some things were made clear still. I remember learning of a situation that sounded exactly like the Shift up situation being brought up when Stellar Blade discourse was at its peak and I ended up losing the source for it.
