no......copper plate will touch only lemon juice

There is just one small detail. In order to create electronic potential, you have to have 2 different metal plates. One metal has to be more electronegative that the other (hence, the Zn and the Cu plates normally used) so one metal "steals" electrons from the other, or attracts them strongly. You have to understand the Science behind this experiment in order to make it work.

no....but it increase charge % (15 to 20%)....if you want to full charge an exhausted smartphone ,,,,you have to replace lemon juice three to four times...

(1) 40-50 lemon... (2) copper plate should have large cross-section area ....(3) time will very according to concentration of lemon juice and size of the copper plate.......it take approx 5-6 hour for full charge
