nah, how to glue some wooden sticks to a plastic bottle fits it better.
However this might be a good project for kids they will learn few things like how to wire a motor and a battery.

Dude stop right there you need to make your standards lower even the most powerful drones can only lift up to like 5 kg including its own body
It is very hard. But it looks like a original helicopter. Very nice
doesn't fly, isn't even remote controllable, and doesn't even have a working stabilizing propeller. Huge waste of time. Incredibly stupid how many people liked it.

Less about too much weight and more about too little lift. Make virtually none with those flat wings. It's making a little but nothing substantial. Just slapping a cpu fan on the top would've worked better.

So I watched the whole video hoping that it could fly, and I was a little disappointed that you didn't add more blades, but then a flying helicopter without stabilization would just hit a wall or a ground... Maybe you could add a string at the bottom if it flew

DrScrew, great camera work (very high quality and cinematic production) and also, it is great you did everything while using regular items everyone can easily get.However, this helicopter doesn't fly - even just to 1 feet height - and flying is the PRIMARY purpose of helicopters.So I recommend you find a way to make this fly just a bit and redo the video.If someone will spend this much time on a home construction, it ought to be satisfying at the end.Either way, great video still.

I think it can fly if you put more work on the rotor blades. You know, drag is too high in their outer sections. You need to decrease the angle of attack outwardly.

A lot of others were disappointed too. (like me). All those views - a lot of them could have been converted into subscribes if he had done a little math and weighed the components, then found a motor that could actually lift the 5 lbs of glue he used. Anybody can make a heli that does not fly.

True story axper.
Firstly, that was fantastic. You used a lot of glue which reduced weight instead of other fixtures; the tail blade should also be inclined (curved) which produces lift as the angle of attack increases. So, even the tail blade inclination is important, which you didn't do in the video. I think you'll need faster motors to create enough lift to let the helicopter fly.

I liked a lot. But during craft assembly, I was wondering about excess of hot melt, what caused excess of weight. The craft almost flyed. I don´t know if someone else commented it. If you substitute the Ni battery by a Super Capacitor it probably will fly. Please do it and put a new video.
