Thanks for a great review. I’m an hvac tech and occasionally need something like this. Just pulled the trigger on one and trying to learn a little more about it before it shows up. Thanks again A+ 👍
Thanks for taking the time to do a comprehensive review of this product. Based on your review, I've added this little beauty to my troubleshooting toolkit. Would love to see your "in use" review from the field. Great review! Keep 'em coming!

Would this thing enable me to distinguish a specific Cat5/6 cable that’s in a thick bundle? I have a lot of unused cables but I can’t tell one from the other in the middle of the run
I always look up products and atleast see it in a person's hands before I buy it because I've bought to many things that ended up being junk and typically when a person handles an item you can tell by their voice and everything whether the item feels decent and everything, so good video, there's to many people faking a product review just so it could be sent to them so im glad to see there's Still folks who aren't afraid to speak their mind about products 😊❤️
I know on the packaging it says non energized wires. Will anything happen if I put the clips on live wires so I can find the breaker. If I don't got breaker finder??
Great video sir. While I'm not tracing communications or computer wiring, I need to trace electrical wiring and fromknown point A and find endpoint Z and need to find each section in between. What tone and test set would you recommend? Also need to find a hound fault in the line. Any thoughts on how and or equipment? Thanks in advance. ... Jeff
@@andywason3414 i got the tool now. I find a few problems with it. One of the biggest problems i have with it is, i don't get a proper signal unless i connect both ends, the wire you're tracking and the return. If i bought this thing because i don't know which connection is for what, how am i supposed to know where to connect the other end if i don't even know what is the returning connection
Does this unit automatically shut down? If so, hopefully that can be disabled, otherwise, when tracing or probing for awhile, by yourself, you're gonna have to be move back and forth to ensure the toner is on.... What about the probe's volume control, does it stay where you leave it when you turn the probe off or does it go to a default setting everytime?
I’ve Had This Tone Generator Running For Roughly 20 Minutes And Have Not Experienced Any Time-Outs. The Volume On The Probe Seems To Be Set On A Medium Level Out Of The Package. I Have Not Acknowledged If It Defaults Every Time. I Always Crank The Volume Up On Probes With Every Use.
@@KompleteTechCrew Why I asked is because some auto-off features in Klein tools cannot be disabled, and if you need to probe for an extended period of time, especially at a good distance away from the toner, that can pose a problem, as you can imagine. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a Klein hater, in fact I own hundreds of dollars worth of Klein tools, but these are the "little" things consumers ought to know before buying a product like this. As to volume control, it's always been great to have a simple dial or slider that can be manipulate instantly and kept in whatever position you leave it in. Some techs prefer leaving their probes at max volume, regardless, and so it's good to have that as an option within a toner system like this. For me (and many guys I know who work in the telecomm and electrical fields) to have the option to leave a toner on, indefinitely, and having full control over probe volume are a must.
@@KompleteTechCrew Okay....will keep an eye out for your findings. Much appreciated, since I'm in the market for a new tracer. It's either this unit or the 3000pro.
The toner will time-out in 60 minutes according to the online manual in PDF. The probes volume will not stay set like a manual pot volume control. These two characteristics make the Klein not well suited for large projects or for frequent use. Overall I'm not a fan of Klein for electronic tools. Klein has historically been a mechanical tool company, I have a Klein wire crimper that accepts several different jaws. Just be aware many low cost crimpers have removable jaws but there are no variety of jaws to pick from. In other words just because the jaws are removable does not translate to be able to change the jaws for different crimp duties. Tools with actual changeable jaws are a more premium tool.

What I do not see is where to plug in the male end of a RJ-45. This unit could use the female connector as well.
Great job! Just got one from Home Depot not far away. God Bless and have a Merry Christmas:)
Is a beautiful tool, I have one and use it all the time to trace wires or confirmed circuits and trouble shooting..!
Great video - thank you. Just ordered one!
I rock the fluke intellitone and never looked back
That’s the best one just highly expensive depending on what your doing. I’m definitely gonna get it later but not rn

Great video bro! I wanna see you using the tools! Show us how they actually work on the field! 😎
Thank You Art! Appreciate the feedback. I plan to start uploading field reviews and demos (Real World Use) soon.

Never heard of or used these… until I bought a house, lol. Made labeling my box with the new lines I was running way easier.
Great video! Just ordered one from Amazon.
It’s A Nice Kit. Always Nice Getting New Tools!

Great review.
Short sweet and to the point.

The Toner-Pro transmits frequencies on non-energized wires only
What happens if I put them on energized wires??
@@el_capitan5414 I do not recall. Just make sure to buy the correct toner.

How does the polarity work mine dosent say anything about polarity
I got mine at lowes.
Yes but who makes it?
I was considering this unit for automotive work. anyone have experience with it under the hood?
Maybe tone out some wires for the audience
Is Tempo better then KT ?
Can you trace the signal inside walls?
yes there's another video on youtube where the guy does exactly that.
