Guys why arnt you doing the original halloween and the trilogy Halloween 2018 then Halloween kills and Halloween ends not sure if you done a reaction for them
I love how at the end of the commentary, they’re all geared up for Friday 2 almost specifically to see the hockey mask finally. Oh sweet summer children…
What’s ironic is that after decades of Jason lore, the twist in the movie is just X10. I saw this in the theaters so Jason wasn’t even a thing and just the twist that is was some middle age lady was super cool. Now…folks are like, WTF, where’s Jason?
How cool to have all of you completely surprised by this movie's twist at the end. BTW in the late 70's early 80's America was much more comfortable with nudity in movies. Then Reagan came. hehe
Hope y'all DO watch the sequels eventually. This is one of the few franchises where the 1st film actually ISN'T the majority favorite. Most pick either 2, 4 or 6.
54:46 Steve Christy isn’t related to the Voorhees’. His family had owned the camp for a long time and Pamela was a cook at the camp when Jason drowned. They only knew each other because she worked there
"It's got the classic vibe"... Jason, Michael Myers etc. are the movies that SET the vibe and began making the world aware of the tropes of horror cinema as explained in the Scream franchise. Welcome to the beginning...
That guy is zero degrees from Kevin Bacon. The other guy you were talking about is the son of Bing Crosby, a very famous movie musical star from the 40s/50s. His Christmas song recordings are some of the most famous of all time - - you've probably heard them. And since you've already seen the movie when I'm writing this, Betsy Palmer (Mrs. Voorhees) was a big TV personality back in the day. She sat on the panel for I've Got A Secret in the 1950s and 1960s. She was very beautiful and very intelligent. It's a fun show - - you should check it out.
53:45 yeah, we all know of Jason Voorhees but when this movie came out, no one knew anything. So by not showing who the killer is, they get to do the killer reveal, while also not having to put the killer in a mask/costume
I never clicked a video so fast! I'm so anxious to watch the Jason franchise with you guys it's a classic horror franchise and has been one of my favorites since childhood. 1,3,4,6 and 7 are the best ones and the rest are decent. Let's go Raggedy Pack.
43:12 I’ve always thought it was so strange how they had a lock on the INSIDE OF THE PANTRY?? And not even a lock on the door knob…it’s just like a sliding door bolt or something. Like…what?? Lmao…why would you need that?? 😂😅
Yes! That jump scare at the end remains legendary! I'm from Ny and in the summers as a kid, I went to the camp that shared that exact lake [in Hope, NJ] with the Friday The 13th filming site- Camp Hope. It was/is a christian camp too; the lake is really called Silver Lake(ha!). Our counselors (the teens)used to try to scare us with this fact, but we already knew a great fact about Jason that you will find out in Parts 4 and 6 if you watch them. My stepbrother was actually born on June 13th, 1980 - he's not a slasher, but unfortunately, he is pretty evil😅 - no lie. You guys get the full "demon element" in Part 2 when Jason makes his real debut. The iconic hockey mask makes its debut in Part 3. Yeah, all Jason movies have a funny/campy vibe and all Jason's were not created equal, if you watch the next one, I'll rank them in order from best to worst. Great reaction as always guys, thanks!
My church took all three of my boys over the years to that camp too. Christian camp ome week for adolecents and pre-teens and the following week for teens. They all loved that camp. I forgot to warn them about Jason!! 😬😬😬 - from 10 to 18 they did alright, 😂😂😂
A classic. Part 2, 4, and Jason X are my favorites. The 2009 Friday the 13th remake is actually very good. Also the 2005 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.
Great reaction, Raggedy Pack Bros. Yes, the great twist of the movie was that a heartbroken Mother was the murderer in the original. Betsy Palmer became a legend, after being in this film, though she had already been well-known since The 1950s. She gained a whole new fan base for the rest of her life. Mrs. Vorhees is around 5' 9" and like 150 to 160 pounds, I believe; so, her physical prowess was there...along with her stealth.
I saw this movie when i was 11… i am 41 now… and it still creeps me out to this day. Even if i’ve seen it many many times. The first four movies are great!
You can see the Baconator. But you have to watch Wild Things which also stars Neve Campbell. And you can also buy unofficial Camp Blood wine since the final girl Adrienne King went on to own Crystal Lake Wines.
Great reaction. No so fun fact: They got the snake from a handler they brought on set. They didn't tell the handler what the scene fully entailed, so when they actually killed the snake, the handler was livid.
Me dying from you referring to the reference of Ghost Face talking to "Cindy" on the phone in the Scream intro LOL. It's "Casey" played by Drew Barrymore. The "Cindy (Anna Faris) talking to Ghost face" scene was from "Scary Movie", the comedy parody of Scream hahahaha 😅🤣
Yes. Steve Christie owns the Crystal Lake camp. The jeeps belonged to the camp and that is how she has one. She worked there in the past and they are taken home and care for by the Camp Staff so they are not sitting until the next summer. She probably still had the jeep she was caring for is my guess.
Hell yeah! My parents and I watched on CINEMAX back in 2007/2008, and it scared the hell out of us! The ending freaked out my mom so badly, she couldn't sleep for a week!
1-4 of the series follows a story arc and is the best run. Worth reacting to. And part 6 is great! The rest are varying levels of decent enough to pretty bad to so ludicrous it’s good.
You have to remember that most movies weren't made to have sequels. They had no idea really if something would become a sensational legend. There absolutely was not supposed to be another Friday the 13th movie, so what you're recalling (like the mask) is what sensationalized it further on only in the sequels. It's like all the movies now that exist TO build on a franchise and nostalgia bait by referencing old/original movies and scenes that became sensational without anyone thinking they would at the time, instead of taking the risk of being a one off original. eta: this might also be where the trope of NOT cutting killers heads off to make people question whether they're dead to leave the door open for sequels originated. because all I can think of with this twist is how BOLD it was for them to cut the killers head off because that ensures they're dead and gives an audience a kind of relief they seem to intentionally withhold in later slasher/horror movies. And this is why I like deadpool as a character for which the decapitation insurance can never apply.
This viewing was Awesome thank you all a lot, and especially thank you so much Corey for not even hinting at the identity of the Original Killer, my favorite female Villain in the Horror genre, Mrs. Voorhees. It was hilarious. You guys kept thinking it was Steve or Ralph. I can see the logic behind your beliefs. It was just hilarious plus he didn’t realize that was Kevin Bacon’s Ass shown, till the movie was half over, Funny, very Funny. I can’t wait till you guys watch the next episode. I bet you’ll like it just as much, if not even better. Thank you again for this viewing time.
I remember my mom taking me to see this at our local single-screen theater back when I was 10. Half of my fourth grade class was in attendance. While I do love Friday the 13th, it's a slavish imitation of Halloween in many aspects, and it wouldn't have had a tenth of the success it enjoyed without Tom Savini's effects.
46:16 😂😅😂 at first I was disappointed but now I’m just cracking up at how all 3 boyz from the left were clearly checked out or not looking and missed the first frame of the famous final jump scare. Only my mans with the hat was staring directly at the screen whole time.

Jason was only ever meant to be that jumpscare at the end. The LEGEND Tom Savini did the SFX makeup for this movie but refused to come back for the sequel bcuz he thought it was dumb to bring Jason into it. He said that the movie made it a point to continue saying he had drowned and Jason was dead, so it made no sense that he would just all of a sudden be alive
Tom Savini was lured back for Friday the 13th Part IV to do SFX with the promise that the studio was going to kill Jason off for good, a detail I always find incredibly amusing. You know that you've messed up as a creator when the SFX guy is like 'oh you're killing this character off for real? Count me in!'
This movie gives off perfect spooky stories around the campfire vibe. The camp they choose is hauntingly beautiful and creepy. I think the cast is good, and pop culture osmosis has made the ending even better! I love the 70’s holdover aesthetic and think it works well as a dirty psychological slasher (a great reverse to Psycho). I think it holds up pretty good. It’s not my favorite of the series but it’s a classic and one of the best in the series! I hope you guys get to do the sequels 😌.
Fun Fact: The reason the actor who played the cop almost ate shit on the motorbike was because the actor himself has said he had never rode a motorbike before they filmed that scene in the movie.
You listing the next films you are watching has me so flipping excited!! I will be there for all except 1 unless I can watch that one before your reaction to it comes out. 🤣
Jason is NOT in Dead by Daylight. The franchise owners of Friday the 13th tried making their own game instead and the license has too many legal issues. The Trapper in DbD is considered by most to be BHVR's version of Jason.

Jason X 11. Freddy vs Jason 12. Jason Goes to Hell The Final Friday
If you ever end up getting seriously into the franchise, there's a (very long - I think it's like 3 hours long) documentary called Crystal Lake Memories that digs right into the creation and behind the scenes (as much as was possible so many decades after the fact anyway; as far as I know, film productions prior to DVD didn't tend to do a lot of featurettes or behind the scenes type stuff because of the limitations of VHS). I haven't watched it, because I haven't seen enough of the sequels for the documentary to not be full of spoilers, but I'm told it's both very good and ridiculous in how much detail it goes into.
The best movies in this franchise which is my favorite franchise are 6, 2, and 4. They are worth the watch and we get some recurring characters. After 7 they fall off a bit but you guys should continue
You can go to Camp Crystal lake. It's actually Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, Hardwick Township, N.J and still in operation today. They have special Camp Crystal Lake Tours and sometimes events where some of the cast members from all the Friday the 13ths show up. The second movie is probably better. It's worth watching. The 3rd sucks. Then it's all over the place after that.
Are you telling me SHE nailed Bill to that door? Threw that girl through the window then ran down the road to her parked jeep, got in it and drove up to make it look like she had just arrived?

Jason had a severe case of Down's syndrome. The producers said that Tom Savini's makeup was too disturbing and had the scenes with him removed.
“We didn’t find any boy.”
“…..then there’s gonna be 11 sequels…”
None of these guys would have survived the call in the first Scream

Do we not know Jason’s Last name is Voorhees? “I’m Mrs. Voorhees.” “Hmm something’s not right” lol
