Reviewing our John Deere 956 moco discbine after using it for a season after many years using a self propelled discbine. #farming #dairyfarm #equipment #discbine #mower #hay
Great video Mike the only other benefit to the self propelled mowers are you don't run down any of the hay when opening up the field! Thanks for taking the time to go over the mower! 👍😎
Those mowers are definitely heavy. You were right in having the big tractor hooked up for your Dad cutting on hills. I have been shoved around, even in a 7810. Great mower and great video!
Hello.. gkad your mower is working out for you... 7810 in the future then 😊.. your fortunate your mower is a center pivot as atleast 80 % of trailed ones over here are only set to cut at the right side... with makes working out your cut or field navigation worthwhile... 😮😅.. nice work on the vid.. stay safe 🏴
Most farmers I seen in my neighborhood are using triple mowers. Pretty interesting seeing one in our field that a farmer rents from us. Far cry from our ol new Holland haybine 467 back in the day.
Its on the list. Every time I think we could be close to getting one there is a bunch of other things that pop up. Hopefully someday. The quest for a 7810 continues!
New holland 468 user here, still old school I guess but still works like a clock. Love the vids Mike, long time viewer here, Keep ‘em comin. It’s nice seeing the changes yr to yr.
This is my favorite channel. I especially like it when you explain everything so nicely. I wish you a lot of success with the channel and happy life.🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Funny that so many use discbines, we still use the sickle bar 1209 mo-co. It works for us but maybe some day..... Every year is a strange year. The growing season seemed to really start in August when it finally started to rain some. When I look at it that way then yes, it stands to reason that the corn starts drying down in November.
I didn't notice any real differences going to the flails. Like you said though we do ted the hay. I'm not sure if we will be able to get the other field or not. In years past we'd be done no matter what the weather is because the barn is full. Now that we have the round baler we can go get whatever hay we can get
Hi mike p i miss your videos on TH-cam. Good job with the cows and calefs and bulls
Thanks Amanda
You are welcome, Mike p

Thanks Dennis. Good point

Thank you Morgan
Most brands are pretty good it’s all about preference and customer service in my opinion
And getting parts.... You already know how that can go.

The service is definitely a huge deal

Thank you Ian. Time will tell. I would love to be able to get a 7810

I remember when I was a little kid my dad had a New Holland 499 haybine. He thought that was quite the mower back then
@@mikep7810 I always thought that was a big mower back then😂
Speaking of 7810’s my dream tractor would be a 7810 with a auto quad transmission and a 741 loader
That would be a great tractor to have
Think you made a wise choice for the operation. The next step is actually owning a 7810 lol! MFWD just shown on "tractor house"...

thanks for the review, really enjoyed it, I'm glad you enjoy the new mower.
Thank you John
Glad to hear the Deere worked out, time to buy that 7810.
Or a 7810 with triple mowers
That would be cool to try triple mowers
@@mikep7810 well? What are you waiting for?

I just hope we get the corn chopped and get the beans done before the snow falls
Nice update Mike. Thanks
Thank you Ames. Hope things are going well
Nice vid! The mower seems to have worked well! Allways need a newer j.d. !! Never have enough horse power!!
Thanks Gene. Never enough tractors
👍👍greeting mike from burley Idaho
Hello Carlos
Awesome glad it worked out 😭
Thank you
Other than John deere, what other tractor company would you go with? Love the videos keep them coming.
A lot of people like those Case Magnums from the 90s. If I had to get a tractor but it couldn't be a John Deere I'd get one of them or a Ford
I had wondered if you saw any difference in dry down between the two machines, but that's why we have tedders! Hay season going into overtime?

I was thinking 7810 before you even said it. . . Lol. Or if you really want to dream 7530 with ivt. . .
I've never driven a tractor with an IVT transmission. It would be interesting to try one
off in the background i can see a yellow log skidder what is the story with that
Its a neighbor's. He is going to cut some firewood
4555 is way over powered. Sure ulit work. Can pull that with 4240 on hills. But you have it. Might as well is it
👍
Not a fan of triples. Bleh. Too Euro and techy.
I never used them, be neat to try
