    In the 42 years I dairy farmed I never owned a round baler As long as Dusty doesn't charge to much I'd let him do it Consider the fuel,wear on equipment, twine maintenance, you could be doing other chores it just didn't make sense to own one

    • @mikep7810
      @mikep7810  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dusty does a great job, however, a lot of times when we want to get hay baled Dusty is baling his own hay. There have been plenty of times where the dark rain clouds are rolling in and it would be great to grab the round baler and get things baled up. Not too mention we are looking to feed more round bales. It might have not made sense for you to own one but it does make a lot of sense for us to own one

  • @anthonyhengst2908
    @anthonyhengst2908 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'm sure you will find the round baler that's right for you. Trying all of your options is the fun part. At least I always thought so. Still short of rain and the second cutting is showing it. We have 80 acres about and I think it will barely fill our 18x60 silo.... We'll see.

    Nice video. I need to get out the pole saw and trim back branches growing out in to the fields. That way, when we are up on the property, we can drive right along the edge and not have branches whacking the truck. The same for you, not having branches whacking the the cab of your tractor. 14:45, take out more branches on that tree on the corner.
