hey thats just a standard industrial pressure transducer. I keep them on my truck. I use the same ones for supermarket refrigeration. Thats a good price you're getting. I pay $90 for the same thing as a refrigeration part.
Nice vid Andrew, that’s a good sensor to have, one thing I did not see is that you did not attach a safety feature to the params of the sensor, like if the pressure is greater (>) than 20 then turn a light on or go to a limp mode or set a boot table so it reduce the boost. I don’t have a Holley but I have a MS3 that I made plug and play to my car. I am using the factory cluster for now, but all my sensors (fuel, oil pressure, oil, water temp are like yours, custom sensors). Thanks for the vid, be safe!
Hay man just got done porting my heads done it my self pi heads went off the D shape exhaust u use to have would love to send u some pics c if I could do anything different get ur in put
Hey Andrew, are you running a thermostat? I understand you want to monitor for gasket leak/head lifting, however any future plans to move the sensor location (front to rear or add more sensors) to monitor coolant flow/pressure across the head(s) for hot spots?
You are so impressive to the common man, how do you feel about the SCAT crank and rods 5.0 set for the 4.6? I would like a more steetable tuneup for my 55 f100 panel truck. Kind of an all around vehicle with 4wd with a 700r4 transmission the engine is a 96 tecsid Lincoln that I want to put the Trick Flow 2v heads on along with the necessary parts maybe from a later crownvic engine. Kind of like your input please.
I have been wanting to go to this system and get away from the factory ecu. Just a bit nervous on learning how to do all of it and not mess up my engine. Seems user friendly
How are you liking the electric water pump? Thinking about putting one on my car since I added an Overdrive crank pulley. I dont like the idea of fhe added volume and potential pressure build during high rpm runs.
Thought I was the only one that did this! Had my head lift, also got around 10 garbage sensors on Amazon before one that worked. Careful with those. I think 100psi is too high. I went 30 because my cap is 15psi & by 30psi I blew my radiator last time.
@@iridiumx6116 do you mean pressure from water? The max pressure will be from hose failure, not anything in the motor. They're connected. If you Had a closed steel system you& I could easily calculate pressure & temperature relationship. If we're talking motors, pressure isn't a concern (except boiling point & heat xfer) cause the weak point will be rubber or a blow off valve (radiator cap). Perhaps craziness could exist w/ super pressure systems but radiators would get heavy.
If you was to decide to go to a 4 valve motor I have a friend who sold his car to start building his 2008 bullit its getting a turbo coyote setup and a glide he says this one is gonna be a street car lol but he still has his back up motor from the old car it's a sbe terminator 4.6 the heads have been cleaned up and rebuilt with a little port work with arp studs and comp valve springs I'm not sure about the cams but they are the same as the other motor that had a 88/91 precision turbo and it hurts to say it but it was a bad bitch! I dont know how much those motors are going for but for what mods it has with less than 40k on the bottom end and the kind of power and numbers its twin ran in a 2900 pound new edge Stang it's worth it in my opinion but in our area he was really the only guy running one of those all the other ford guys run Windsor's and coyotes.
I need to do this if I had one it would have saved me alot of trouble last year and even after that shit and being told to do it by multiple people my dumb ass didn't install one!!
Ya got me wondering now. Just from this video I would guess he’s a mechanic. Looked like a 3/8 drive snap on swing handle on the bench and not putting thread tape or sealant on 1st two threads are things generally only mechanics know about
Good video, interested to hear how this sensor is holding up, looking to buy a few for mine at the minute

Andrew whats the highest pressure you recorded during a pass? Also what psi radiator cap are you using?
Also interested

Thanks for the info on the cheap sensors! What heat shrink did you use?
Installing the digital dash you jumped those to wires for the alternator. Did that work ok??
Funny you put this up I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Anyone knows what kind of pressure at about 200deg F ?

So will that just give a warning light or pull you down?
Ah Ha! I knew there was someone thats blown up enough engines like me. No games this time that heads staying on
Interested in seeing what that pressure is at the top of a pull. Coolant pressure is about the only thing we don’t have a sensor on lol
You guys still wet deck?
Andrew Lavender was with the 4.6 the new 5.4 is dry deck
I need to do this if I had one it would have saved me alot of trouble last year and even after that shit and being told to do it by multiple people my dumb ass didn't install one!!
What ecu you are using?
Where’d you learn this stuff I wanna learn too
Good friends and the Internet lol
Andrew, what is your day job???
Top secrete
