**Spoiler of the scene when you lose the fight** Ahhhh I was rooting for Lae'zel lol, if she wins you get to see her soft side, she says something like "I don't want to hurt you, I want to protect you, for you to protect me" and it's just so cute.
You would have saved so much inventory, by just losing. Lae'zel would not have thought less of you. I think I always lose to Lae'zel, but then my characters are always much older than she is.
Losing is so much better for the overall story :-) In my first playthrough I played sorceress romancing Lae'zel, she just obliterated me in one turn 😂😅
@@alexmashkin863 Older Githyanki, mother figure to Lae'zel, and Drow Durge, also older. I tend to play me in my Tav's what can I say. But next time around , I am going for a younger me... maybe.
@@alexmashkin863 Well most games the protaganist is a male, and/or indistinguishable when playing, so I just played them. BG3 was the first that I played that had a character creator that was worth the effort, so variations on myself made sense, minus the wheelchair of course. Lol.
@@Jules_Diplopia I would really hope if you're playing a "mother figure" to Lae'zel that you're not sleeping with her multiple times! So hopefully this scene wouldn't come up at all
It's a classic BG3 right of passage for a player to get this scene and Lae'zel annoy them by using all your good items! She has high strength, so tons of people use her as a pack mule and that means she's well-equipped when the time comes for this interaction. It's annoying, those potions of speed are precious!
It was pretty funny though and I like what happened. I feel pretty confident with our duo, so a little bit more challenge is interesting, especially when it comes out of this sort of narrative :)
The romances in this game are very forgiving, that's why you can be mean to her and still be successful. There isn't really a "right" answer so much as there's only one "wrong" one, which is explicitly saying you don't want to be in a relationship with a character. They try to make it as clear as possible so that you don't accidentally lock yourself out of a romance, so any option (even being kind to her) works.
It cracked me up to see Lae'zel using all sorts of potions every turn 🤣🤣
She also kept drinking invis potions but she kept getting spotted cus you had see invis!! :)
@ No way!!? Did she!!?
I know - if we lose the game now, it's HER fault!

Thanks for hiding it - I haven't read it :) Maybe I'll lose this fight one day :)
oh man, I couldn't stop laughing. Well worth it!
It was in equal parts amusing and frustrating :)
lae'zel is in BDSM: canon
Not sure what that means lol

Now you're in proper romance :-) Lae'zel is just cool like that :-)
I'm never trusting this woman with carrying anything of importance ever again, LOL!
@immersioneer That's it though, you got her full loyalty and admiration :-) She'll be a total babe from now on

I know, but I really enjoy it when I get the "thematically" right answer and I think we went soft there for a githyanki :) Never again! :)
