My favorite song of all time is "People Get Ready" by Vanilla Fudge. My sister brought home that album back in 1968 and I was forever hooked. I listened to that album nearly every night. Cheers from eastern TN

I had the debut on vinyl and wore it out .. They were the forefathers of a whole new genre and their music can not be classified as any one type .. Carmine set the stage for Drummers like John Bonham .. The Fudge should be in the Rock hall of fame for their staging and portrayal of other peoples music alone as well as their originals, which came later .. Rennaisance and the Debut are still my favorite VF albums ..
They were ancestral to psych, prog, and metal - but what they played was its own unique thing, not quite any of those.
I can just picture Carmine driving a 64 Chevy Impala SS! He IS that car!

Carmine screwed us over big time in the early '80's. He "Produced " our CD and took every bit of everything and we got ziltch. Screw him.
