As viewers we all missed a key point along the way. Olake is not endgame, neither is Olitz. Team Mellie & Olivia is end game. Two women who had to fight for every bit of ground they walked on, there accomplishment always overshadowed by the men in their lives. Two women who were at war with each other. But together they are stronger than ever. And if they stay united they can change the world. That my perfect ending to scandal. Team Olivia & Mellie standing together. No Fitz, no Jake.
I do hope Shonda wrote them both staying faithful to this pact. To be better and to stick together. Even if they don't succeed, seems like a really nice way to end the show after so much and too much of the power corrupting spin (in Shondaland and in real-life).

This is kinda like how it was with Fitz and Cyrus. Mellie is in the position where Fitz was and now Olivia is where Cyrus was. Olivia ordered to have president Rashad killed but back then Cyrus ordered to have Amanda Tanner killed. It's the same thing. Olivia wanted Mellie in office not for Mellie well being but for Olivia's just like Cyrus. It's the women's turn to run the world and it's just as scandolous.
What I love, about the two characters played in Scandal by the actresses in this video clip. Is that despite all the heartache, betrayal, deceit, bullying, scheming, and murder. Delayed ambition, the loss of a child, love lost and love found under the most excruciating circumstances. The trials, they endured which, under normal circumstances, would have killed off any chance of reconciliation. These women were able to put all of their differences aside. And work together to get a woman into the Whitehouse. Although this is fiction, this is an excellent example of how to “Woman Up!!” Keep up the brilliant work!!
I think women (and men) should be able to be supportive of one another and have deeply emotional ties to each other without it being romantic. I think we overlook the importance of having emotionally intimate friendships that are entirely platonic. We always rush to “shipping” people which I don’t think is good.
Liv and mellie working together always made me happy. If they put all the love and marriage things to the side and worked consistently as political sisters the whole time they would have been made Fitz to everything they wanted and lowkey liv could have forced Fitz to be kinder to Mellie just my opinion
There are different kinds of kisses including the one Judas gave to Christ to mark him for torture and death. A discerning woman wouldn’t just go around kissing on whomever, they could have venom on their lips... 🐍
No they are both good people (characters) who have done reprehensible things. They show they are just as susceptible to power going to there heads as men. They are both killers on this show. Just because they are woman does not make it justifiable. It’s just a show yes, but I would not want either running the “country”. Love this show but I won’t get wrapped up in the “power of women” when these two characters are so flawed big time. So the message rings false for this viewer. But love it as a TV show.
I don’t get what you mean, people are flawed doesn’t take away anything, if anything it adds to it, and this isn’t about justifying anything, pretty sure real people running the country are worse than this and have done same if not worse
