    Great video with great honest comments from your experiences 👍👍
    I have one and I have to say that it gives me no problems at all
    Compared to my Garrett pro pinpointer (the old black one) it is as good if not better
    So summing up it does what it says on the tin without breaking the bank and to me that’s good enough

      Thanks it's just an honest review of the pointer, there's a lot of negative ones which are not what we have experienced and this week's video (out tonight) shows me using it, the biggest thing is change the battery till the new ones come but that's it I can only say how it's been for us, thanks for the comment 👍

    I got one of these last week off Amazon, liked the look and build of it, but it was falsing all the time with my Nox 600, even with the green light on you had to have the detector over 3 feet away, had to send it back for a refund, I also didnt like the off button as it was a long press to turn it off, pity really as it looked good. my old GP pointer has never gave me any problems at all.

      @rudigginit  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry to hear that, I used the Legend and the wife Nox 800 and it seemed to be fine, I never really used the green button, we still have one as a spare pinpointer, like I said in the video the battery it comes with in the bin we had problems with the original battery but put in the Duracell and it transformed it. Hope you're sorted now and thanks for the comment 👍

      @@rudigginit Yes I put a quality battery in it, have ordered a MD770 and a shrxy GP2 off Aliexpress, they were £16.58 and £7.74 !!! so even if they dont suit me I hav`nt lost much, I would buy one of the expensive ones but in every case there are bad reports as well as good ones, for instance some people say they have had a Garrett for 15 years others saying it lasted 6 months, all the components in all of them are made in China !

    • @devonrod
      @devonrod 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rudigginit just an update FYI, the MD 770 is falsing also with my Nox 600 but not as bad, the other thing I didnt like, it has the same tone an inch away from the target as when its on the target so makes finding small objects hard, the SHRXY GP2 on the other hand is great, really loud and the beeping intensifies the nearer the target you get, goes mad when you are on it !

      My only advice would be put a good battery in it, the one I got was rubbish so I emailed them and they said they would be putting better batteries in but I put in a Duracell and it was really good 👍

    This or the MD-770?

    • @rudigginit
      @rudigginit  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm going to say the Dr Otek mainly because it's 100% waterproof and better made, you must fit a good battery but then you have a really good pinpointer which is very good value, the MD is good as in sensitive but zero waterproof I wouldn't even take it out in the rain, good luck with your detecting 👍

      Check out the next video to see it working this way purely to show it's a good pointer because a lot were saying it wasn't when it's the battery you need to change.

    I did a lot of research. There's new excuse paying 120.00 plus for a pinpointer. You can buy a Minelab Xterra Pro for 269.00 so we know it doesn't take 120+ to make a good pinpointer. I will say if Garrett offers lifetime easy replacement like I been hearing then maybe it's worth paying 120.00 for some.

    • @rudigginit
      @rudigginit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I agree some do seem very expensive and like you said if you can get a quality thing like the X-Terra Pro then yea someone's taking the Micky 👍👍

    I bought one, and I hate it. It will be relegated to my range box and only be used to find brass lost in the grass when I'm shooting. It goes off uncontrollably if in the proximity of a detector unless you employ the sensitivity mute feature, which reduces it's ability to find targets much more than an inch or so away. Also, having to cycle through features to get to where you want to be is a frustrating waste of time.

    • @rudigginit
      @rudigginit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea you and others seem to have the problem, like i say we have used right at the side of a Nokta Legend, X-Terra pro and a Equinox 800 and have not had any problems, in this weeks video im under power cables with the X-Terra right at the side and nothing i thought most problems were with the battery but if you have changed it for a good one and are still having them im at a loss but thanks for the comment and sharing your experiance 👍

      I have the same issues with my MT6 Pro. Maybe half the time I turn it on it starts beeping when it is not near anything metal. It does stop when I press the grounding button. Drives me crazy and that's why I carry my GP pointer also. I'm not one who thinks a pinpointer should read six inches, I'm ok with 1-2 inches from my pointer.

      @@rudigginit with my Pro Find I've had to modify the cap to make the battery fit better, plus it's not all that responsive which is pretty poor for a pinpointer costing over a hundred quid. Mine came free with my 540 though.
