    EV mode is indicated with the green symbol on the dash, it is activated automatically (unless i pressed the EV mode a year ago randomly) as long as there is enough charge on the battery, generally up to 28ish mph and not being too harsh on the accelerator will result in the usage of EV mode (going above the ECO label on the left hand side of the dash will disable the EV mode). Generally lasts up to a mile if not less in general driving conditions. Always useful to have. I generally use normal driving mode 90% of the time and switch over to sport on busy roundabouts or when I feel the need for quicker throttle response

    I've had the 2012 model for 2 years now. It's pretty great. The ev button is almost completely worthless. It will turn on ev mode automatically when you are driving under 40mph and you have the tacheometer in the eco area and you have enough battery to support this. If you play your cards right and avoid interstate you can juice 46 mpg out of it. But be prepared to have people ride your ass when you are trying to stay on ev. Literally everyone will run you off the road. Great for around town and that's it.

      I only use EV mode when I'm sitting in traffic. I think that's the only reasonable time to use it without looking like a jackass. Cruising through town at 20-25mph is just plain inconsiderate.

    probably also a good way to hard cycle the battery. its important for battery health to do this occasionally. if you notice you battery performance drop this should bring it back.

    • @user-bd6qg8oj2g
      @user-bd6qg8oj2g 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the fuel that you put into the vehicle is used up to run the electric motor inside the vehicle which charges the battery and in return you dont use a lot of fuel but you get to use battery
