    Crazy clever idea! Maybe the next version will weigh less and have handles. But I’m intrigued.

    Seems good but the more I think about it, the more I am sure I do not need it.

    This bag does not work. Please do not promote them. They sent me a defective bag and did not bother to replace it.

      Sorry you had trouble with the VELO and didn’t get a replacement. What was the specific issue? For us, we had to remove the compression boards and desiccant packs before expanding the suitcase.

    Talking about travelling inside Japan, do you have to show an ID to board a Shinkansen, for example?

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, you do not need to show an ID to board. You may need to show your ticket while on the Shinkansen.

    Too heavy unfortunately. Will never be useable as a carry on when airlines only allow 7kgs carry on. But good to know it exists.

    • @KenshoQuest
      @KenshoQuest  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it’s too heavy to use as a carry on for flights with a 7kg limit. That’s when I use the July Carry On Light, which only weighs about 2kg:
      th-cam.com/video/yjzEIaqQaVE/w-d-xo.html The VELO works great for us as a checked suitcase. 🌸 Heidi

    Not look the same as main photo?

      The suitcase in the video is the same one as the main photo for the video. Which photo are you referring to?

    I wonder. I’ll be flying from the US to Japan next month. Is it possible or legal to nest one medium packed luggage into an empty large luggage, to avoid paying the 2nd baggage fee?
    I’m asking because the airline I’m traveling with charges $100 for a 2nd checked baggage going to and back home. I don’t mind paying for when I’m heading back to the US. It’s the part going from the US to Japan first is what I’m concerned about.

      I’ve heard of a lot of people nesting a packed suitcase into an empty suitcase to check in. Just make sure to weigh it, and make sure it’s not overweight for a checked suitcase. I haven’t tried it myself, so I’m not sure how well the outer suitcase holds up. 🌸 Heidi

    ijust came upon your youtube, which is great as we're traveling to Japan in may for 3 weeks. What sort of souvenirs to most bring back? art? spices? snacks? robes? i honestly have no idea but i do have 2 grown daughters and a soon to be son in law. Not sure what kind of luggage we want to use yet but i believe we better hurry up and figure that out.

      There are so many options for souvenirs from Japan! We've gifted Shupatto foldable bags, leather wallets, fans, chopsticks, hand towels, tea, coffee, Royce' chocolate, daifuku mochi desserts, rice crackers. There are lots of options for character gifts (Sanrio, Pokemon, Super Nintendo, anime, etc.). Tokyo Solomachi at Sky Tree has many souvenir shops: www.tokyo-solamachi.jp/en/ I also picked up a bunch of chocolate at the Duty Free shops at Narita Airport. 🌸 Heidi

    Hi. how does tax free shopping works in Japan? We learned that if the staff bag and seal them (purchases 5,500 yen and over isnt it?) like skin care etc, we are not allowed to open them until we leave Japan. What about shoes, bag or watches? Can we use them after buying or we are not allowed while still in Japan? Thanks❤️

    • @KenshoQuest

      Anything purchased tax-free in Japan is not supposed to be “consumed” meaning opened and used while still in Japan. Whether the bag is sealed or not, you aren’t supposed to open and use the item in Japan. There is a chance they will ask to see your receipts at the airport, but that’s never happened to us. 🌸 Heidi
