My landlady passed away last November so I have been caring for her little friend Daisy. Yes she is a little spoiled but she such a sweet dog. Has a pretty scary growl if she dont like someone. What a character. She is a lot of fun to have around. I love jewelry and am learning so much from your channel. I dont have a large collection but its always fun to see the beautiful pieces you show

I've never seen tapered, graduated Byzantine links before, wow!
1979 forward. TC.45. The first letter stands for Taxco. The C would stand for the maker's last name first initial.
There are 3 other letters that start with the 1979 to date hallmark. M would mean Mexico.
The number illustrates the registry of the artists.
The Mexican Government introduced the eagle assay in 1948. 3 is for Taxco, 16 for Margot.
Mexico Silver predates the Mexican government's assay. It generally denotes the purity of 92.5.
Plata means silver in Spanish.
Thank you for your upload.
Great video! I love every piece you showed. Thank You 😊
Thanks a million for watching! xo
Such great pieces......love them all.....
Me too!! Thanks for watching my video! xo
That's a very cool sofa behind you.
Thanks Other. It is a fake background because I didn't feel like cleaning my office. haha.
@@TheFunkyPickleThrifter I wondered, lol. It suits you though, I like your taste in backgrounds.
What a great video, Sandra! I loved it from start to finish. I think the Donald Duck stick pin was my favorite. It made me smile! Thank you! ❤️
Thank you!!!!!!!! Yeah, Donald is coool!!!! xo
Beautiful silver collection! The Dragons breath earrings stunning! Pretty sure the Begay necklace is malachite and guessing he wanted to retain the lines and ridges instead of polishing them out.
That’s interesting about the malachite... thanks for the input and thanks for watching!!!!! xo
I've never seen dragon's breath before. I love it! Thank you so much for sharing your pieces and your knowledge

Hello Funky Pickle! Do you happen to know how old “Liquid Silver” beads are?
Not sure… that’s a good question. Really don’t have any idea. I do like liquid silver tho. The ones I’ve had in the past are from the 70s or newer, but that’s just me personally. They could be much older???
Stunning art nouveau style ring.
Such a cute antilope.
I love critters jewlery too
Nice turcoise ring.
I would definitly ware it.
Those modernist clip ons are amasing.😍
I love liquid silver jewlery.😍 grate pieces!!!
I think it s a protective bracelet for a baby.
Byzantine links for just 2 dollar😮
Beautyfull anglewings😍
Thank you! Cheers!
I know this video is long ago, but your glass bottle necklace is definitely Elsa Piretti . Maybe for Halston or even Tiffany’s!!!
Check the chain!!!
Okay, thanks! I will check it out! Thanks for watching.
Stick pin with the pearl is either an Iris or an orchid
Ahhh okay. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for sharing. Beautyfull finds
I think that mat stone is an unpolished malachite
Thanks for watching and thanks for the info!!!! xo
Hellow Madame...i like the first ring....loved it❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! 🤗 xo
BEST VIDEO YET!!! 👍👍
Wow - thanks!!!!
Congrats on reaching 1k subscribers 💚
Thanks!!!!
I LOVE the very first pin you called a Gazel I think. I am thinking Native and possibly a Deer. They made what they those ears cry deer to me. Do you sell ur finds? That piece and the Donald duck maybe😉?
Thanks for the info! Likely was a deer, I'm pretty sure I sold that one. And I'm gonna hang on to Donald for now at least -- he's sooo cute, right? Thanks for watching. Cheers!
I would too and like you those feet are adorable❣
I love bell trading post
I do also! Thanks for watching.
Your sterling necklace at 19:00 is Carolyn Pollack signature.
THANKS so much for that!!!!!! I appreciate it! xo
Lovely.
Thank you so much for watching. xo
I live in Albuquerque New Mexico and oddly I have that same Nickle Silver and faux Turquoise
Oh wow. Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Hi , i watch your profram from Greece , love your jewelry choices and love that you get them on the cheap
Thanks so much for watching!! xo
Tourqoise ring gorgeous
Thanks for watching!!
Beautiful pieces!!! What is the best way to clean liquid silver.
Hi Alisa. I personally clean by gently wiping with a silver cleaning cloth. I get them on Amazon. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!!!!!!
What kind of loupe do you use? I want to get one but not sure? Love the turquoise ring near end of your video!
Hi! Thanks for watching. I like to use a 30x -- there is one by Kingmas that I like. It's $6 on Amazon I think. Good luck!
They RB necklace that has the green stone and it looks dull or matte, It could be because maybe it was “cleaned” using a mixing of hot water, baking soda and vinagre. I did that once to some of my jewelry that has stones, and all the stones lost their luster. The sterling was shinny but I ruined the stones.
Sorry about your piece !!! Thanks for watching!! xo
The pieces with the eagle stamp with the number inside are the older Taxco pieces starting in the 1930's to 1969. The Mexican government changed the registration stamp to the way you described at the beginning of your video (ex. TM-275) - that style of marking dates it to sometime post 1969.
Oh how interesting!!!!! Thank you thank you!!!! And thanks for watching. xo
@@TheFunkyPickleThrifter Thought you might like that tidbit of history though, my dates might be wrong. I just read that the eagle marked started in 1948 and different eagle stamps were used until 1979. Anyway, great collection. Looks like you have some nice old ones:)
I’ll have to look that up also. I have some silver and turquoise, but being in the northeast, it’s not really my specialty as I don’t find it that much around here. I would like to know how to circa date the marks tho, and will research that. Thanks again for your help!!!! xo
The initials that you couldn’t make out are Carolyn Pollack. 19:12
Thank you! Cheers!
Nina is a modern co. That makes vintage looking pieces. Quite pricey
Oh okay, interesting. Thanks for that!
At 12:50 - Those earrings appear to be electroform which I think was first used in jewelry in the 1980s by Jean Duclos. Later, the technique was used in Israel. Pieces are marked 925 but feel almost like plastic to the touch. This must be a difficult or expensive technique because it has never been widely used.
Thanks so much for that info Carol. I appreciate that. Cheers! SANDRA
The pyrite pun says" sterling setting" on the back
Wow good eyes! Thanks so much!
How do you look up Taxco Silver makers marks? I have a piece marked TO-67? I'm not sure where to begin. Thank you for sharing your beautiful jewelry with us.
Hi Rosemary! Not all makers are well documented, so sometimes you can't figure out their name. A good place to start would be a Google search. I would type "TO-67" in quotation marks followed by the word silver -- or Taxco -- or jewelry. Wondering if your mark is actually TD-67? Anyhow, hope this helps. Good luck! xo
@@TheFunkyPickleThrifter yes I also thought TD. Thank you very much Sandra! I've been binge watching your videos. You find some beautiful jewelry, I must say!
Thanks a million!!!! xo
How do you clean jewelry. What do you think of those electric container cleaners? Man I get tired of cleaning.
Marie
Hey Marie, I do have a video I made on cleaning -- give it a watch if you'd like. Thanks!!
Put that kachina pendant on that heavy "broken" chain!!!
The bracelet that is open frame with 3 stones in an oval shape, marked A Joey, and the curlicue earrings, both have A J marked on them. Could they be both made by the same person? Last name Joey?
Thank you for your input, you may be right about that!
Turquoise from Taxco probably paired with Red Jasper, not coral.
Ok thanks for that info!!!! Cheers
Malachite is very soft. It can dull and wear away.
That’s interesting. Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!!!! xo
@@TheFunkyPickleThrifter I have read that the egyptians ground it up into powder and used it for eyeshadow.
Interesting!!!!
Everything is breathing. I always wanted to own a dragons breath piece
Thanks for watching!!!
👍😎
hey have you sold the dragons breath earrings ?
I have not. If you’re interest, reach out to me At iamthefunkypickle at gmail. Thanks for watching!!!
Do you have any suggestions on where to sell vintage sterling silver?
I sell it on eBay... Thanks and good luck!
And also plz tell what is elpaca is it also fsome kind of low grade silver?
Hey Rita, thanks for watching my video. Alpaca is a metal alloy with zero silver. Some people really enjoy the look of it !!! Hope this helps! Sandra.
@@TheFunkyPickleThrifter thank you so so much dear for explaining these terms in detail. Stay safe n blessed
If I get a piece of old jewellery I am overcome with the urge to clean it up and dive it back some of its glamour. Is this a terribly wrong thing to do. I love wearing old jewels but need them to look unscruffy.
Hi Rikki, thanks for watching. I think that you should carefully clean your jewelry if you want!!! I clean mine sometimes a bit. Cheers!
Isn’t gold stone made with copper? Can’t remember……
I think you're right. I love goldstone -- it's so pretty! I just found out it can be in blue also. I have a pretty necklace made of it. Thanks!
BTW, what type camera do you use? If you don't mind me asking?
I use my iPhone- it’s an XR. I was thinking about buying a good camera, but I think the iPhone does the trick! Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Kindly tell what is liquid silver n why is it called liquid silver.
Liquid silver is a nickname for fine, small oblong silver beads that are strung and feel almost like water or silk in your hands. It has wonderful "feel" to it and people just call that "liquid silver".... Hope I explained that correctly. Thanks for watching! xo
Where are you located?
I get most of my jewelry in New England. I find good things in Rhode Island and Massachusetts! Thanks for watching!!
Your last piece might be marked "Beto". I have one of his pieces in my collection.
Oooooh -- thanks for that!!!! I'll look that up. Some marking become so worn away they're difficult to read... CHEERS!!!! xo
Sandra, Taxco is in the state of Guerrero which is abbreviated GRO.
Ahhhhh!!! Thanks for telling me that. Very interesting... hugs.
Do you sale on line
Hi Rosa, yes we do. We have an eBay store called The Funky Pickle Store and you can always reach out to us via email at iamthefunkypickle at gmail. Cheers.
Those sterling earrings Isreal remind me of a tornado
I see what you mean! Thanks so much for watching. Cheers
Dragons breath looks like fireworks
