Hader's acting in Barry is just brilliant, but more than that, the guy is directing many episodes like a genius. His vision is clear throughout the series, he's proving himself a master of the craft.
It's cool that he originally came to Hollywood to be a director and hes fulfilled that dream in an incredibly roundabout way

bill hader is so incredibly talented, even when he’s not doing an actual impression, the way he loosely does a voice and a few small mannerisms capture whoever he’s talking about in a really striking way, like with fred in this. i could do clearly see fred saying/doing all of this stuff just by how bill moved his hands and used his face. really really impressive

I love him. He’s so adorably funny. The impressions and the stories are gold here, but for some reason that scream he does at 0:52 never fails to make me laugh.
The fact that he's a genius should be reason enough that Bill deserves everything, but the fact that he SO enjoys it, makes it extra special. No one seems to have as much fun doing what they do.

I love that any time Bill Hader does an interview he spends 80% of that interview talking about how OTHER people are funny in his life or talking about other shows like that one time on Conan that he spent the majority of the interview talking about Snapped. A show he is NOT on😂. Anyway the way he tells stories and then laughs at those stories is pure talent.

Snl has been on so long that I think it's become a legit fraternity. So many castmates past and present Male and female just helping each other out by appearing in their shows or promoting them it's interesting to see how many big names got their start at snl.

It's hard to believe such a naturally gifted comedic actor and impressionist like bill hader struggles with really bad stage anxiety. He is so dam funny and talented and it's so hard not to just love the guy! Clearly, I'm a big fan of his lol😏

I saw Colin Jost perform last week, and in his bit about “sketch ideas I pitched that got shot down” he mentioned wanting to do one the week a news story broke of 17 people being held captive in a basement, and he pitched a sketch of the realtor trying to sell that house like, “the basement may seem small, but it can comfortably fit 17 people.”
And it reminded me so much of this interview, but the implication here is the Jost *didn’t* come up with that sketch idea…and so now I don’t know what to believe. (It’s almost like comedians may embellish a story for a good joke)
I had a dream a few nights ago that I was a new writer for SNL. It was a great dream. Lorne approached me about something I had written that he liked. I was so terrified I woke up gasping for air.
Bills impressions of Fred and Seth are so subtle and spot on
Jost and Che feeding each other to the wolves makes so much more sense now. I was like, why would you throw your friend directly under a freight train, and then I watched this. It's just fun that helps their career. Prep school Colin Jost reading racist jokes written by Michael Che is just hilarious, especially if he looks like he wants to die in a pit afterwards. The black man has all the power, and his ultra-white buddy is the perfect sounding board to make the joke light yet real. It's just great comedy. If you don't appreciate Weekend Update with Jost and Che, you might not know what funny means.

I love when Seth interviews his former SNL coworkers/castmates, because then it just turns into two friends having a fun conversation we get to be a part of, instead of a contractually obligated interview that ends with a plug.
