- The Bunker Hill Mine is a historic producer of silver, lead and zinc, and is located in North Idaho in the city of Kellogg. As part of the new management teams recent efforts to restart mining activities, the Russell Portal needed to be upgraded to accommodate modern mining equipment. Tom Francis, General Manager of Bunker Hill Mining Corp, gives an update on the completion of the portal work that began in August.
First, the electrical upgrade to connect the mine to main line power has been completed, delivering 1.85 Megawatts of hydroelectric power to support future mining operations.
Secondly, the work of removing the previous 10'x10' existing portal and installing the expanded 16'x16' entrance has been completed. The work was performed safely by GMS Mine Repair and Maintenance. Unexpected additional earthwork required slightly more time and money than anticipated, but the Bunker Hill team remains confident that the budget can be managed and time recovered throughout the various future projects already underway. They still expect to be pulling first ore out of the mine in Q4 of 2024. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
That's great news
Good job Tom. I enjoy them and forward all progress updates to all of my investor friends.
Thank you for the update !!!
I've been enjoying these video updates, keep up the good work! I operate a small underground gold mine and am all too familiar with the costs of diesel generator power. Our legacy 10'x10' infrastructure also creates issues.
I'm stoked! As a Wardnerite I'm pulling for Uncle Bunker!
Thank you! The community support we've received is invaluable!
@@bunkerhillmining Heck yeah! I'm thinking about investing in some stock and I haven't worked underground since 05 but it would be cool to finish my blue collar career at a place like that. I'll be keeping my eyes on the job postings!
