The " good old days were not always good, but we had a wholesome spirit that is now mostly gone. While technology has improved, the spirit and good nature of our country has diminished. God help us.. because we can't seem to get out of our own way.

My dad, b.39, just passed away who also had me watching little rascals, Flash Gordon,Tarzan, Lone Ranger and silents (Keaton, Lloyd, zorro) on PBS back then on one of those uhf channels. He introduced me as a kid back then to the 1920s through 50’s. I love history now and really miss him and his point of view. I’m 56. So time marches on. Lovely song. I really relate to this. Born in 1994 and turning 30 this year. Even though this song wasn't catered to my generation, I like to think it still applies. It was a different time - I drank out of water hoses, and I definitely got 'daddy's' belt. Lmao regardless, it's an amazing song.
I miss back when, had Evel Knievel, watched happy days, huffy dirt bike, stretch Armstrong wowed daisy duke. My dad, b.39, just passed away who also had me watching little rascals, Flash Gordon,Tarzan, Lone Ranger and silents (Keaton, Lloyd, zorro) on PBS back then on one of those uhf channels. He introduced me as a kid back then to the 1920s through 50’s. I love history now and really miss him and his point of view. I’m 56. So time marches on. Lovely song. I really relate to this. But this guy looks so young to have been there. Where’s that fountain he found😅

When I was about 12 in 1962, I got a transistor radio for my birthday, It was a Motorola, I used to ride my bike and have the radio in my shirt pocket, Great times different world

I'm 41 now and wow the memories this song brings back. Times then are so much different now. 😢 My daddy has passed away now,and things will never be the same. Wish I could go back to see my parents as a child in the 80's again..
