    What an amazing series. GF truely does not throw around the words "hand made" lightly. Thank you for sharing.

    This is what real watchmaking is about! Using your own hands to build a beatiful, precise time piece. I'd love to see more handmade pieces. ✌🏻

    What a story! One of the best stories told of a watchmaker team and a project! It is honest and authentic, as well as beautifully shot and edited. I can just imagine how it must have been a struggle to decide what to leave on the cutting room floor, but the rigor TheWatches.tv team showed in storytelling is exemplar. It is stories like this that create visceral connections between enthusiasts and collectors to the makers.
    Thank you for the work of love in creating this three part series and sharing with the community.
    Congratulations on the 9 years… and hope to see many, many more years to come! 🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

    It would be great, for each watchmaker, to have a 15 min episode in detail about their: education, exact job, and how they do it -- there must be over 30 specialties.

      TheWATCHES.tv from what I remember about you ,you have some relevant training , I’m sure a local watchmaker would take you on as work experience,but the time taken would wipe out your TH-cam , don’t leave us Marc ;-)

    As someone who knows what it means to work with ones hands to make something with meaning, this was a powerful reminder for what it means to be so utterly enchanted with the abilities to make precious objects. Where some people might see only cold logic and precise mathematics, others can find such wonder and endless imagination and passion in the wonderous architecture of time, the realisation of artistic endevour in a machine which to many has become obsolete. To see their eyes light up and sparkle at the culmination of their efforts makes me resonate with them so strongly and is a powerful motivator to many people who also seek such fulfilment in arts such as watchmaking.
    Thank you for producing a documentary that actually features the people that worked on the object, who had a hand in its realisation, and who spoke of their thoughts and emotions as they experienced it in real time; it is so much more powerful and wonderful to see the people behind it rather than reading about it in a magazine or hearing about it from an advertisement. It was a beautiful project!

    Absolutely incredible. Loved this series! You are probably the only people on TH-cam who get behind the scenes in watchmaking and can show the process of how these innovative timepieces are developed and made. This particular watch is just perfection, every little detail thought out and accomplished by hand. As you zoom in, the amount of details seems to just keep getting bigger! This style of watchmaking is truly art; the pursuit of perfection such as this can only be done by people fully immersed and engaged in their field. Viva watchmaking!

    Last but not least. Fantastic series, really enjoyed them. I think, at the end, where he talks about younger people getting involved; hopefully we see that younger people see engineering, not just watchmaking, actually making things, as a future they could get involved in.

    I want to see this series with far more technical detail. Show the machines, how they work, when they stopped being used. This feels like a trailer for a more complete film of the whole process. The human emotion part was captured well, but not enough humans shown doing the work.

    • @watchestv-com
      @watchestv-com  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, we focused more on the human dimension, but I understand what you are saying, would have simply been a much longer project ;) Hope we'll be able to do this at a later stage. Thanks for sharing your opinion
