That seemed a little weird, to say the least.
This is just practical, now they have plenty of space for activities, like a giant pile of garbage bags they will eventually take down to the dumpster. The mini fridge/side table is an amazing idea.

I cannot be bothered to paint the walls white, but I do have surround sound, so my place is better. I honestly don't see the problem - I have all I need and nothing I don't. Everything brings joy. When a female asian decorator does it, it's called minimalism. Best place to be quarantined ever, if you ask me.
I actually know someone who was on one of these shows. They did 50k in renovations to 3 out of 9 rooms in the house, used 3 of the rooms for staging, and they trashed them. Once all was said and done, it cost my friend and his wife 45k and about a year to get the house back to normal.
yeah I have read a lot about that kind of stuff. Lots of those renovations done years ago on what is that show where they say move the bus... Pretty much ends up trashed. Lots of the stuff they did most people hated and ended up ripping out costing them more in the long run.

Watching this, I'm transported as if by time machine back to my early post-college dating days, where I would wake up in the morning and tiptoe through several iterations of This Apartment to the bathroom, fingers crossed there was toilet paper, staring at the limp navy towel draped over anything other than the towel rack, knowing on-premise coffee was a novice's fantasy.

I love to decorate, and buy art pieces that cost a fortune, haha, and taking care of plants, but my best friend has a similar house like this and sometimes I feel like I want to be there, its good when you only have what you ACTUALLY need. I also came to realise she could afford a lot of stuff that I also want but spent my money on useless decoration.

Not really. Carpets only collect dirt, and who needs so much furniture in one room? Just paint the walls a better color, put a few more light fixtures in, and it's fine (maybe add a small bookshelf to display books that no one has the time to read...😅 and of course a PC on a computer desk).
