From the Westcountry (Cornwall), that is not a Westcountry accent anywhere, sounds like old rural accent from the south east to the west of London, before alll the cockney Londoners spread out. So yes, borderland between Oxfordshire and west Berkshire is where I'd place her.

What an extremely talented lady she is. I can't imagine how she does it all, not only the composition of her work but the delivery as well. I came across this by accident and found to my delight that there was quite a bit of material I had not heard before. I loved the one about reading the map, it was absolutely spot on and reminded me of one memorable journey my husband and I made via cross channel ferry down to the Loire. French road signs, I have found have a quirky habit of either giving the name of the very next tiny village which you have never heard of and I'm frantically scouring the map to make sure we are on the right road or the name of some major city that is impossibly far away and can't possibly be where we want to go. On this occasion, for some reason we were going through Paris, or at least the outskirts of Paris when the above mentioned situation occurred. Caught off guard I made the wrong call to exit the roundabout. As a result we ended up going past the departure lounge of Orly airport. What the passengers thought was happening, I have no idea.Having managed to get out of that, we were back on the roundabout again and by now, thoroughly rattled, I made the same mistake and past Orly airport we went again. As we were towing a rather large caravan at the time (honestly, you couldn't make it up) I fully expected to be found the following morning in a French ditch with my throat cut. I can only assume that my lovely husband was so glad to get out of Paris that I am still here to tell the tale. Pam just nails it every time. Long may she continue to entertain us.

Simple solution: The woman does the driving and the man reads the map and gives directions. Women can't read maps and men won't ask for directions.
