Always fun to personalize the camper and making it more user friendly! That dormer shelf is legit. Back in the late 90's, Starcraft started putting articulating shelves in their pop-ups, called a "Space Station." It soon became a popular mod on forums to other brands of pop-up tent trailers, but using the wire rack like you show, and hanging it with some flavor of thin chain from the hardware store. This allowed it to pivot and lay flat, when the bunk tenting and end bow where the shelf was laid down.
Always a challenge to keep 'em cool in the summer, and warm in the winter, especially for those who like to dry-camp.

Recently, came across your site, which I really enjoy. If I’m not mistaken, you folks are from Vegas…as am I. Looking to buy an Aliner with dormers, my question is what’s the highest temp you have camped in and how did your a/c handle the heat? I ask because the unit I’m looking at buying has the box/wall a/c vs the cool cat. As you folks talked about the inside can get toasty so I’m curious to what temps you experienced. Lastly, hard dormer vs soft and why? Thank you guys in advance and keep, keeping us updated! Thx again.

We haven't camped in really hot temps yet. Maybe 95 degrees. The heat pump does a decent job of cooling things down, but the side ac unit does I've heard does better. We love our hard dormers, but the soft dormers have much larger windows.. but many are concerned about it being less secure. If you want to come over and take a look, let us know.
