My favorite part of this quest was being beseeched by a ghost talking all eerily and then asking him about the preacher in Anvil and causing him to switch to a normal NPC voice The jokes write themselves in this game
Oblivion being Oblivion. Also great when you talk to beggers and they are all "feed me kids" or "buy me shoes", you ask for rumors, and you get Wes Johnson doing his generic male imperial voice talking about the fact that Dar-Ma has dissappeared or that the someone has stolen an elder scroll
It’s a really neat thing to happen across! And I found out the other day that fists work! Likely if your a hand to hand user, there’s no enchanted weapons for it so to make it balanced they had to make bare fists work!
If i had to guess or theorize, normal weapons dont work very well due to not having any magic in them trying to interact with a magical being, the player has some migica value by default and thus there flesh would have some
@@qvcybe ghosts have a 100% resistance to normal weapons, and fists aren't categorized as normal weapons. And neither are silver, daedric and dremora weapons, bound weapons, enchanted weapons, and poisoned weapons. Okay, ghosts are also immune to poison, but a poisoned weapon isn't a "normal weapon" anymore and will damage ghosts. And you can always use a spell to convince the ghost that it is not immune to poison.
I really appreciate the continued support! :) I’m glad everyone is having as much fun with it as I am! I still have a whole ton more scheduled to come out! :)
There are no real "heroes" in this quest. Gable's no hero for obvious reasons, but the Captain was an incompetent moron who deliberately sailed out in bad weather, _over the objections of his crew,_ when he easily could've stayed at harbor for a while. I've always had a similar thought process; even if Gable and his cronies hadn't betrayed the Captain and taken over the ship, the Captain's stupidity would've gotten everyone killed, anyway. There really wasn't a winning option here (especially as Gable went on to make the exact same mistake). Blakely is the closest thing to a hero we have in this story, but even then, he seemed to be just as short-sighted and inept as the Captain. As for why we don't see the Captain's ghost in the Emma May itself? I've always assumed the Captain survived the initial wreck, only to be killed by the Cadlew Chapel necromancers. See, Cadlew Chapel is just North of the Mouth of the Panther, and from the outside, it looks like an ordinary church. So, it stands to reason that the Captain, having barely survived a shipwreck, would leave to go look for help, see a church off in the distance, and head inside, only to run afoul of the necromancers holed up within. If you go into Cadlew Chapel in-game, there's the body of a freshly-killed treasure hunter, along with a number of decaying bodies strewn about. My theory's always been that one of those decaying corpses is the unfortunate Captain; especially as these events took place at least 12 years ago, according to the Emma May's logbook.
I really like you theory and it’s one I’ll have to check out for myself! :) it makes sense as to why there are no bodies as well as why Grantham’s ghost was still around!
Another fantastic video, proud of your continued growth I remember being a double digit subscriber! I never put two and two together about that lady in The Imperial City being his daughter, makes a tonne of sense
Thank you for the continued support! I remember seeing double digits and thinking how insane that was! And Yes! Through the right dialogue intro she says some pretty interesting things that makes you wonder! 😂
i'd say possibly the captains remains are not there, because he wasn't kept on the ship, probably he was thrown over board or even keelhauled right after the mutiny (as pirates would often do to set an example) the captain and blakely were good people, but at least blakely was an innocent victim, in fact, i do believe they both are the very reason the crew is bound to the ship in death, as they were in life.. cursed by the very deed which cost them everything .. hint: the irony... fort irony.. ;) after all it would explain a lot even if the captain isn't on the ship, he did sorta... "go down with his ship" as is tradition. a captain always goes down with his ship. in this case it would be in a very... literal sense ..seing as the ship kinda did go down too.. you understand im sure
Would of been nice, if you could tell her what happened to her father. After completing this fun little quest. But sadly that was overlooked. (if she really is his daughter that is. I like to think she is though.)
how did anyone die in this? the ship is resting on the shore and wasnt ripped to shreds and Cyrodiil is not that Hostile to live. i think the mayority of the crew survived forgot about Grantham and left mostlikly Hanging the Munitneer and his Leutnants and Grantham Still alive but slowly dieing cursed the Munitneers.
12:35 'with some spellcasting and enchanted weapon use' *uses fists* :P The thing with Angelie might mean something, but no clues, really. I still don't understand how races work, when both parents of a child aren't the same race, as Blakeley was Breton and Angelie is a Redguard. Still, Angelie might not really be his daughter, but like I said, there just aren't enough clues, what makes it an open book for the player to theorize.
I wanted to show that fists work too! I myself didn’t even realize they did until recently 😂 and yes it’s kind of confusing! Apparently the mother’s race dictates the child’s appearance, that might not be a concrete thing though. Also with unique dialogue options she says some things that line up with her being his daughter, but your right it’s not 100%
@@ABardsBallad Yeah, it's kinda confusing. Like Gray Prince that is an Half Orc, with very Orc appearance, but with a different skin tone. Mother was an Orc, but father was in Imperial and vampire on top of that.
@@multigamer856that might just the vampire showing through. Interesting to see that vampires on Tamriel can have children, very unusual in vampire lore.

@@ABardsBallad From all that I know (and double-checked before I wrote the comment, since english is not my native language), the term "a force to be reckoned with" means "someone not to mess with / someone to keep an eye on etc." because they are strong / powerful. If someone is described as NOT being a force to be reckoned with, that means he's weak, unimportant, not worth your attention etc. The version of "not a force to be reckoned with" in the sense of "not a force to be trifled / messed around / etc. with" seems to be exceedingly rare. Very frustrating when one expression can mean two polar opposite things. :D
