Absolutely. In my opinion, Princess Anne is a person who is the most suitable female in the family to wear the crown. She is noble, reserved and highly intelligent, and has this presence which only her mother had. Charles didn't give her any titles. He doesn't have that power. By law, the wife of the King is The Queen. It would take a literal act of Parliament to change it, and the agreement of all 14 realms would be required as well. Barring action by Parliament, it was inevitable that Camilla would one day become Queen from the moment Charles slipped the ring on her finger. It has nothing to do with Diana's sons. Also, hereditary monarchies do not require that people deserve their titles. They are achieved through being in the line of succession, or being the wife of someone in the line of succession. That being said, Queen Camilla most certainly does deserve her titles. She is, and will continue to be an exemplary queen.

@@annespry7588 No, she really didn't. Every wife of a King has been called Queen - even Anne Boleyn, who was Henry VIII's mistress before he dumped Catherine of Aragon for her. Diana did plenty of her own attempted husband-stealing. Unlike Charles, however, those men wouldn't leave their wives for her. Just because she was pretty and great with the media doesn't mean she had her head screwed on straight. She had a ton of emotional issues. She confided about her unhappiness to her son, William, which is unacceptable. No child should know that much about their parents' marriage. This is not to say that I didn't wish for her to be happy. Unfortunately, however, she had so many emotional issues that she may never have been happy in love. I am glad that Charles finally is. And, as an aside, Anne was having an affair with her current husband while she was married to her first husband. Both she and her her first husband were having affairs. Only in Anne's case, her 2nd marriage stuck (Mark Phillips's didn't). Just as Charles's has.

I can understand why Charles went against his mother's wishes re Camilla's title. All of Charles's adult life, his mother had him do everything *her* way - and he obligingly did as she wished. After all, she was his mother and she was the Queen. He always respected her wishes. But when the Queen died, Charles needed to become his own man. A man always puts his wife BEFORE his mother. Finally... now he has the power to control his own life and future with Camilla without his mother's interference. What matters here is that Charles is finally able to live the life with Camilla that he always wanted. Camilla was always his first true love. Not Diana. I adored Diana! Watched them get married back in '81 (?) ...and I thought Diana was the greatest thing since sliced bread! But she was so young - significantly younger than Charles. But Diana was the "wife" who the Queen wanted for her son. And it was so apparent that Diana was WAY in over her head. But Diana did everything she was suppose to do. She was the perfect hostess. Headed up many much-needed charities. Was the perfect royal representative for the family. Most importantly, she was a very young woman with the "proper credentials" who fulfilled her most important duty: she gave the future king two sons. Charles & Diana had so little in common. There simply was no spark between them. So sad when they split up. Such a tragedy when she died. Heck, I cried in front of the TV for three days! That was all 40 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. If some folks cannot look at Charles and Camilla and recognize that those two people are solidly dedicated to each other, that's a shame. I certainly recognize it. My mother and father were married to each other for 55 (fifty-five) years and were totally devoted to each other until the end of their lives. My husband and I: ditto - 32 years, so far. ...don't Charles and Camilla deserve to be happy?

Here we are now, days after the coronation. I felt the sermon was an ode to Diana. Her presence was palpable in spirit. Over and over again, the word, "service," was uttered and called for as the mission behind the crown. In addition, "not holding on to status," was also noted. I miss Diana's voice, and her contribution to this world. However, that contribution continues to give back each and every day.

Charles made a serious mistake when he did not simply allow William to take the thrown. Charles has given his opinion far too often and married his mistress, he should have stepped aside.

Diana was divorced from Charles by the time she died, and her marriage to him had ultimately been a marriage of convenience all the way: at the time, the Princess of Wales had to be a high titled aristocrat. You do realize that Kate Middleton would have been deemed unacceptable to marry Prince William too if it had been forty years ago? Kate is a commoner by birth, and that really mattered at the time (around 1980).
Queen Elizabeth 11 told Charles "she will be QUEEN CONSORT" After she passed, Charles, very callously, changed that to make Camilla "Queen". He had no problems slapping his Mum's face, thinking "what I want is what I get" Backhanded, deliberate and cold.
She is still the Queen Consort to the King, but you refer to a Queen Consort as Queen. Just like how the Prince Consort to Queen Elizabeth II was refered to as Prince Philip. And likewise Catherine, the future Queen Consort to William, will be known as Queen Catherine.

Charles did not go against his mother’s wishes. She expressed her wishes that Camilla would be Queen consort. Queen consort is not a title. It is a role description, differentiating a king’s wife from a queen regnant such as Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth wished that Camilla be queen consort, rather than Princess Consort as had been previously announced.  A Queen consort’s title is Her Majesty The Queen (or informally HM Queen (name). So in calling our new queen Her Majesty The Queen (or informally, HM Queen Camilla), Elizabeth’s wishes have been precisely followed.
And every queen consort in history has been called just queen, bc the consort is her role not her title. Just like queen elizabeth was queen regnant, or regina. And thats it: queen Camila it is

Charles didn't give her any titles. He doesn't have that power. By law, the wife of the King is The Queen. It would take a literal act of Parliament to change it, and the agreement of all 14 realms would be required as well. Barring action by Parliament, it was inevitable that Camilla would one day become Queen from the moment Charles slipped the ring on her finger.
It has nothing to do with Diana's sons.
Also, hereditary monarchies do not require that people deserve their titles. They are achieved through being in the line of succession, or being the wife of someone in the line of succession. That being said, Queen Camilla most certainly does deserve her titles. She is, and will continue to be an exemplary queen.

Diana did plenty of her own attempted husband-stealing. Unlike Charles, however, those men wouldn't leave their wives for her. Just because she was pretty and great with the media doesn't mean she had her head screwed on straight. She had a ton of emotional issues. She confided about her unhappiness to her son, William, which is unacceptable. No child should know that much about their parents' marriage. This is not to say that I didn't wish for her to be happy. Unfortunately, however, she had so many emotional issues that she may never have been happy in love. I am glad that Charles finally is.
And, as an aside, Anne was having an affair with her current husband while she was married to her first husband. Both she and her her first husband were having affairs. Only in Anne's case, her 2nd marriage stuck (Mark Phillips's didn't). Just as Charles's has.

I can understand why Charles went against his mother's wishes re Camilla's title. All of Charles's adult life, his mother had him do everything *her* way - and he obligingly did as she wished. After all, she was his mother and she was the Queen. He always respected her wishes. But when the Queen died, Charles needed to become his own man. A man always puts his wife BEFORE his mother.
Finally... now he has the power to control his own life and future with Camilla without his mother's interference. What matters here is that Charles is finally able to live the life with Camilla that he always wanted. Camilla was always his first true love. Not Diana.
I adored Diana! Watched them get married back in '81 (?) ...and I thought Diana was the greatest thing since sliced bread! But she was so young - significantly younger than Charles. But Diana was the "wife" who the Queen wanted for her son.
And it was so apparent that Diana was WAY in over her head. But Diana did everything she was suppose to do. She was the perfect hostess. Headed up many much-needed charities. Was the perfect royal representative for the family. Most importantly, she was a very young woman with the "proper credentials" who fulfilled her most important duty: she gave the future king two sons.
Charles & Diana had so little in common. There simply was no spark between them. So sad when they split up. Such a tragedy when she died. Heck, I cried in front of the TV for three days! That was all 40 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.
If some folks cannot look at Charles and Camilla and recognize that those two people are solidly dedicated to each other, that's a shame. I certainly recognize it. My mother and father were married to each other for 55 (fifty-five) years and were totally devoted to each other until the end of their lives. My husband and I: ditto - 32 years, so far.
