As others have stated, this was most likely a publicity stunt to get his name back in the news. Boris is one of those people who follows the mantra of "there is no such thing as bad publicity" These are the type of people who get up every day and want to know how many times their names are mentioned either on TV or in the newspaper. They don't care if it's in a positive or negative context.

It stopped me, a person that has always voted, from voting in these elections last week. Poor people and people who are struggling with lives that are hard and possibly caotic. Thats who it stops voting.

I know people think it was a publicity stunt but I err towards this lady's opinion. Of course Johnson understands that he is immune to cockups as this is just his brand so when he discovered he had been caught out, he would have been very happy and that is the horrific injustice that follows Johnson. He never suffers any negative consequences for his terrible behaviour that has so damaged our country.

The hilarious part of the ID is we are not reading name nor address or even if it is in date; we are only told to check if the photo has similarities of the person standing in front of us and that it the ID is an official Identification issued by a recognised government body
Should we in Britain have identification cards; yes we should and you can be done
I wonder if this woman thinks everyone who forgot to bring I/D with them are “arrogant “ or is it a title at least in her world she reserved for Boris. Who incidentally popped back home after a couple of minutes reappeared with his driving Licence and voted, and in his DM piece congratulated the tellers for enforcing the rules he brought in .

I'm an ex ukip member and local branch nomination for borough council candidate. The UKIP head office banned me from the party, social services essentially put my children in care, Natwest closed my bank account and Surrey police put me in prison.. passport forget it driving licence you must be joking. Was jr management in construction after being on the tools as a labourer in my twenties helping to run hundred million pound home building projects, a father of two adorable children.. no chance of me getting a vote anytime. Mainstream media do not want to know about the crimes that have been committed against individuals such as myself. So I leave comments like this and talk to practically everybody I see as a release in-between my daily land animal responsibilities and survival routine that is wot living off grid is about. Did manage to get a bit of unlicensed reform party campaign work under my belt on local election day 24 however Moving forward I'm thinking do urban centrer such London, Birmingham and Manchester for example really need transport, energy and water infrastructure? I am someone that agrees with the idea of an ID card but there was no case for producing an ID just to vote. However what I find most galling is that one of the first acts of the incoming Tory administration 2010 was to scrap the introduction of ID cards.
They didn't want the poor and the young voting

He is typical of his appearance, a scruffy 6th former from a public school, therefore needs Mummy to ensure he has a pen, his ID, a sandwich, pennies for the bus, to check he has clean underwear on before leaving the house and a clean handkerchief, same as my mum did when I was 5 or 6 years old but I admit I am a boomer.
