The movies “Shanghai Noon” and “Shanghai Knights” are Jackie Chan movies with similar action and comedy as the “Rush Hour Trilogy”. In them Jackie Chan is paired with actor Owen Wilson. I would highly recommend that you consider checking them out if like Jackie Chan action comedy movies.
zang ziyi´s (the female killer) performance is very menacing and her death scene is extremely intense and creepy, her last words before she blows up is a chinese death prayer.
"As well they should be..." 🤣🤣🤣 I love Jeremy Piven's cameo. It's quick, hilarious, and perfect to set up a 3rd act costume change. "Let's put a dead animal on you!" 🤣🤣🤣
"Cause you're a very good looking man. If I didn't have a girlfriend I'd put some water rings on you and I'd spank your little bottom. But listen, here's what we do guys..." I could watch all the outtakes with Jeremy Piven! Hilarious!!!!
Yeah, beautiful movie ... but so outrageously fake. I couldn't watch all of it because of that. Not dissing on you or anyone who liked it, but you recommended it, and I felt that people also need to know how fakey it was and that a LOT of people hated it too. I was definitely 1 of those people. It's strange, that I could watch a superhero movie and feel it's more believable than 1 where a NORMAL human can walk/dance up trees, just because they know Kung Fu, but that's how unbelievable it looks to me. Sorry.
Ha. Each to their own I guess... But the running up walls etc was intentional - as it was traditional - and was shot that way as a homage to the Chinese film industry, rather than simply conforming to western standards. I fully understand, it's not to everbody's taste, but I genuinely think it's a masterpiece of storytelling. ✌️
@@KevinArdala01 I hear ya ... and I can suspend my beliefs for some things ... might I refer you back to my LOVE of superhero movies (😜🤪😉👍). However, I cannot recall a lot of Chinese movies that show things like what they show in CDHT either, and I've watch a ton of them (i.e. Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Donnie Yen, Jacky Wu, Chow Yun-Fat, Michelle Yeoh, etc.). I think the closet person to get to that level of fantastical ability, while incredible and total legit, is Jackie Chan, who does these incredibly impossible to believe stunts, even though you KNOW he actually IS doing them. THAT'S my kind of guy, and I feel, the stories he's told over the years are just as awesome. Like you said, to each his own, and I welcome that ... and you're right to like anything you want. I didn't mean, and wouldn't want to take anything away from that.
@Steve Wilkins Yea, I was a massive fan of Bruce Lee when I was younger (all those other you mentioned were great too). I specifically remember the director saying he was using Chinese film industry methods, after the film came out and people were like... 😶... But it's all good... I get it, it's an artsy one for sure... Haha. 👍
Rush Hour 2 was my first DVD, and it is so well put together. Check out the bloopers here on TH-cam, you'll probably love them. EDIT: There's a second set of bloopers aside from the ones after the film.
You are great, I always love your reactions. Chris Tucker also starred in the 1995 Movie called Friday. It's not an action film but more of a comedy movie for young Adults. You should definitely check it out as it is very funny
Dasha, you should continue the "Die Hard" series and watch "Die Hard" III. It's very funny and action-packed just like this movie. Plus, after you finish watching "Rush Hour 3", you have to see "Shanghai Noon" and it's sequel. Jackie Chan is in the Wild West in a funny comedy.
Dasha, I have a real good movie for you! Beetlejuice! One part they ask for his qualifications, and rambles “well I went to Juilliard, and I lived thru the Black Plague and had a fun time during that! NOT TO MENTION YOU’RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY! So what do you think? You think I’m qualified?” This one and Coneheads. Coneheads will make you 😂
The fact that Jackie does ALL of his own stunts sets him apart from everyone else. And his stunt team deserves equal praise. They trust each other with their lives 100%. In fact if you watch a lot of his films you'll see the same faces during fight scenes. He truly is a master of mapping out and weaponizing the environment around him. He's the Buster Keaton of Hong Kong action films.
After you watch Rush Hour 3, you should consider Shanghai Noon and it's sequel Shanghai Knights. The same kind of buddy action/comedy as the Rush Hour movies, but with Jackie Chan teamed up with Owen Wilson instead of Chris Tucker. You will recognize Owen Wilson as Mobius from Loki
Jackie Chan is speaking Cantonese in the nightclub. Triads are "Chinese gangsters". A Hong Kong movie could get a Category III rating if it deals with Triads.
That Chinese girl is an amazing actor and dancer. Jackie Chan actually had to translate between her and the director because she doesn't speak English at all. She stared in House of Flying Daggers and I think it is probably one of the most beautiful films I've seen.
I’m gonna honest, I barely just saw this movie the other day, and yes it was pretty entertaining and funny, I’m glad you also liked it. May I recommend some other films such as 1. Godzilla 1954 or 2014 2. Casablanca 3. Wonder Woman 4. 007 (lots of movies but I suggest Daniel craig films) And yeah, that’s all I can think of, can’t wait to see what you watch next week your reactions are funny
I adore your reactions, they are always so much fun, especially the fun movies. I get so caught up sometimes I talk back, usually when you don't get an American reference.
I love Jackie Chan's incredible stunts, but they also make me kind of queasy because of how dangerous they are and how many serious injuries Jackie Chan has gotten doing them. I see people in the comments recommending "Shanghai Noon," and that's a fun movie that I've haven't seen many TH-camrs react to. I'd love to see Dasha watch it, and I'm sure she would enjoy it. After she's seen more of his movies, I'd be interested in seeing her react to "The Foreigner." It still has stunts and martial arts action, but it's much darker and more serious that what people are used to seeing from Jackie Chan, and he and Pierce Brosnan give very strong dramatic performances.
hey Dasha always watch the credits when it comes to jackies movies , some of the best bloopers ive seen . Thanks for watching this . Loved the reaction
Great reaction Dasha! I was waiting for this one, since you had such a fun time with the first one I knew you'd like this one. Another movie I think you'll like is Red Heat. Keep up the great work.
Jackie Chan is such a great comedy action character. His fights & choreography are always the best. He also does his own stunts. Chris Tucker is super funny. Love your reactions peace & take care.
18:19 "Oh, you know what? I just recently tried egg rolls from the... Chinese store and it was actually pretty... heh heh. The image we tend to have of haggis (in the US, anyway) is the best fabrication we can come up with. _Original_ haggis, as it's prepared in _Scotland,_ I'm given to understand is much _better,_ but its preparation depends on a number of ingredients that can't be legally imported _into_ the US.
Dasha, Watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Awesome film. Some old Jackie Chan movies that I've seen are Shaolin Wooden Men, Drunken Master, and many others I can't remember. I really think you will enjoy them. Some other great movies are Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen. There hiest movies and they have alot of movie stars in it. Brad pitt, George Clooney, Casey Afleck, Bernie Mac, Don Cheadle, and many more.
Loving the Jackie Chan reactions! Please please do more! You seem to have a real appreciation of the stuntwork and I absolutely love seeing your reactions to them!
When you said "Giiirrrrrl" and really stuck them "r's" your accent completely changed into an an L.A. girl lol Love this film and another great reaction Dasha 😄

Please do "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow" and/or "Drunken Master". Those old school Jackie Chan movies are the best!
I love your content Dasha. I hope you watch the final one Rush Hour 3. Your reactions are top notch no matter what the style of film it is. Keep up the awesome work. 👍
When i was a wean my family had this video tape that had Rush Hour 1 and Toy Story on it. No idea where it came from, but bless the gods for bring it to us

Hello Dasha first you look gorgeous as always it's a compliment and I just finished watching your reaction to Rush Hour 2 been waiting for 2 months and I enjoyed your reaction to Rush Hour 2 I've enjoyed your reaction to Jackie Chan's Kung Fu moves and skills and Chris Tucker laughing flirting jokes and thank you for not skipping and watching the bloopers at the end of the movie it's the best part and I can't wait to see your reaction to Rush Hour 3 Dasha and don't forget to watch the movie bloopers in the end cuz this more laughing.

I write also wanna se her react to this series
Yes! Yes! Watch the Shanghai movies! Please!!!
Love those movies!
Shanghai Knights was my childhood ❤️
Fun Fact: Jackie Chan was 46 years old during this movie.
zang ziyi´s (the female killer) performance is very menacing and her death scene is extremely intense and creepy, her last words before she blows up is a chinese death prayer.
FINALLY! Poor Dasha can watch a movie she can actually laugh at! Hope she watches the others!
Fun Fact: Chris Tucker didn't want to say the word bitch and the director had to convince him to say that.
"As well they should be..." 🤣🤣🤣
I love Jeremy Piven's cameo. It's quick, hilarious, and perfect to set up a 3rd act costume change.
"Let's put a dead animal on you!" 🤣🤣🤣

I always love the outtakes... "He ain't gonna be in Rush Hour 3". Thank you Dasha.
"Egg rolls are VERY tasty" 😄 Dasha, you're the best. I freakin love your channel
I'll never get tired of Jackie chan's voice yelling "carterrrr!"
When he gets hit by him at massage parlour 😂
When his office explodes lol
The female antagonist was also in 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon', which was great, and well worth the watch if you haven't seen it. 👍

Gotta love Rush Hour! It's just light hearted fun, from a time where all types of comedy, offensive or not was ok.
So glad you included the bloopers!

That is not the pinyin
"THE MAN'S NAME IS LEE!!!!" Best out-take ever.
One of my favorite movies of all time is a Jackie Chan movie called "Rumble in the Bronx" I hope you react to it some day.
rush hour 2 the best movie in the franchise
Agreed.
Facts
“I don’t like my bird alive! I like ‘em dead and deep fried, you heard of Popeyes?”
Funnily enough I just realized that all three villains from the rush-hour series, all died by falling to their deaths.

Yes, Shanghai Noon is very much worth watching!
Yes. You can skip Die Hard 2, it's mediocre.
Jackie Chan is AMAZING! Great human being and INCREDIBLE martial artist! One of my inspirations!

@@adipyramidadmal I prefer Shanghai Knights over all of them, but Jackie's N-word in Rush Hour 1 got me more than anything

Rush hour 2 was the funniest one. I always laughed at the part where my boy Chris Tucker song don't stop til you get enough. And the Ricky tan scene.
yes kenny is war machine! 😆
Don't Stop Til You Get Enough(1979) is classic Michael Jackson.

I preferred this one than the original, cool reaction as always Dasha, take care sweetie 🥰
Can somebody please add 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' to Dasha's list of movies to watch in the future?
Now that you’ve seen Zhang Ziyi in this, you should see her in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She’s even better in that. Badass fight choreography.

Wow that scene at 4:21, almost looks like the exact same scene from Shang-Chi.
Ricky Tan is the last emperor. 🤣
Jackie Chan the new Buster Keaton but with second takes
“Girl fight, girl fight!!” 🤣🤣
Legend of the Drunken Master is a master piece that also stars Jackie Chan.
The Jewish lady in the background yelling, in the bloopers, sounds just like my mom 😂
You nailed it, they have a rhythm to what they do.
I love the Stitch toys in the back :D and rush hour 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time
If you liked this movie, you will LOVE the Foreigner. It’s more of a darker Jackie film but you’ll love it
i love watching the endings of jackies movies to see how they do the stunts. take a look at his old stuff made in china they are really crazy.
