2021 2022 2023 F-150 5.0L, 2.7L, 3.5L, 3.5L Hybrid tuner instructions. This video is for the tuner and the LME adapter cable. Also has some data-logging details at the end of the video
Thank you for this Dan! I am one of the people calling in for support here and there on a 21 Powerboost. Directions for the Mycalibrator Tuner are clear and direct however, for me, the excitement and nervousness that come with never tuning a brand new vehicle obscure some of the details needed to complete the process. This video really helps us with our trucks! Every time I have called in I have received all the support and info I need and have been very happy with the support thus far! Anxiously awaiting my E30 Performance Tune for my Powerboost with the Livernois Intercooler and Exhaust!!
I have a question 🙋🏻♂️ for the 2021 powerboost how will the tune affect the drive modes? I mean will the tune affect all modes, sport, normal, deep sand, eco mode etc? Or will it only affect sport mode? I’m really excited to get this tune but this are my doubts
Great video to go along with the directions that come with the My Calibrator Tuner. I just uploaded my 91-93 Performance Livernois Tune for my 2021 F-150 3.5 Tremor last week. Got the Tune in like a day. Great service all around. Extremely happy with it. Truck was already quick but after the Tune, a world of difference. I thought I read the directions carefully but did get stuck going to the outside ECU from the inside while attempting to load the Tune. Got a "No ECU found! Is the Key ON" error prompt. This was a late rainy night here in Hawaii so couldn't call. Figured out that I had to prompt one more step from the inside before going back to the outside ECU. I noticed in this video when loading the tune to the truck, you started with the outside ECU first then going to the inside? I hope I uploaded it correctly. I did see all the files upload while connected to the outside ECU and Truck is a lot quicker and more responsive so assuming I'm good. Thank you for the high-quality product with high quality service.
Thank you for the kind words, and we're pleased to know you got it all sorted. So long as it programmed successfully, then you're good. Our instructions state to start back in the vehicle as older versions require this to be done. And newer ones can also be done that way. But older units cannot start under the hood.
I'm running Livernois tunes on my 2022 F-150 5.0L for roughly 6 months now. Very happy with things. I do have a question about the Ford Pass auto update. Would it be a good practice to have the auto update disabled and tune back to stock before doing Ford updates manually?
This was very thorough and helpful. Thankyou for the time and effort spent in sharing this product. Forgive me for what may be a silly uneducated question. I've never used a device like this and truly don't know. For a F150 5.0l, Is there a option or way to specifically pick just over riding or disabling cylinder deactivation and leaving all other factory tuned settings as is? Thanks again
Just curious if "eventually" your custom tunes for the 2021+ Ford F-150 2.7 EcoBoost will be 50 States emissions compliant? I had a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Super Cab 4x4 with the 2.3 liter EcoBoost four cylinder with your custom "tunes" that ARE 50 States emissions compliant. Sadly here in Minnesota they are trying to adopt California emissions standards here so just wondering? I'm taking delivery tomorrow of a brand-new 2022 (off dealer lot) Ford F-150 XLT Super Cab 4x4 with the 2.7 liter twin turbo V6 EcoBoost. I absolutely loved your custom tunes for my 2020 Ford Ranger 2.3 EcoBoost, NO issues with them. I read that most of the tunes from other manufacturers are NOT to be sold in California.
For the last part with the PID’s, that part can be skipped correct? Once the tune is uploaded to the system under the hood, the tune is complete and we can disconnect and are finished?
i had a problem with saving the stock tune, after doing the in cab steps, went to do the under the hood stuff and it said failed when attempting to save stock cal.
Typically "failed to unlock" just needs a second attempt, unless you're attempting to use it on a 23 Ecoboost equipped truck since those can only be done at our facility.
@@mikeledford5035 All of our tuners, should include all cables required for the specific vehicle you purchase it for. If not, please contact our sales team during business hours as our team that monitors TH-cam does not have the ability to assist with this.

Does this retain the auto octane calibration that ford has? So if I have the 91 installed but put in 87 since the gas station didn’t have it, would it auto calibrate to the 87 octane?
Depending on which engine you have? Yes. At a minimum some are auto octane for 91-93 octane only. But others offer 87-93. It just depends on the engine and options chosen.
The registration screen is the very pop up when you plug in the USB cord running our pc app. please contact our sales team during business hours as our team that monitors TH-cam does not have the ability to assist with this.
Does Livernois revise the tunes? Ive had a tune on the truck for a while now. I haven’t changed anything on the truck. Are there any benefits by checking for updates or am I good with the original tune?
We do indeed update the calibrations over time. Without knowing which specific model, or calibration you have, we can't be certain if there's an update though.
Was thinking about tuning my 2013 Ford fusion with the 2.5l NA since I got bolt ons on it right now not tuned and was wondering if it would waken the car up alittle bit even with it being a NA after a tune?

Be aware the 2023+ Ecoboost models are not so easily tuneable - ford changed a lot of access intentionally, and as of April 2024 the only known way to tune a 2023+ model as shown here is a complete swap of engine control module to a 2022 or older system, or ECM swap per livernois. Either way, you cannot simply buy a tuner module or a tune at home DIY.
Technically thats only partially correct. 23 coyotes require nothing. 23 ecoboost/powerboost require a special ecm install and have since 2023, and we have offered this service since day 1 of 2023. 2024 is not tunable this way from our testing as the wiring harnesses have changed.
