so…can we talk about the fact that this could possibly be a remix and not an older version of the song, I mean it’s been stated that the Sky Tower theme would’ve also originally played in the first GCN build, not to mention the sound font in the used version of the said track does sound kinda similar to the other tracks that was also meant for that game and the songs that also uses this sound font probably originated from the 3rd Build of the game, oh yea and the file name of this track having 2 in the end can make this speculation much more clearer so… 😳
I think this theme was actually repurposed and remixed in Kirby: planet robobot for one of the haltmann research laboratory stages. I think it was the one in world 3: Overload Ocean. Or was it world 5: rhythm route. Maybe world 2: Resolution Road, perhaps, I don't really remember.
Yeah but it would be a pain to program those super abilties into the Nightmare In Dreamland engine. Better off making it in some other engine. Perhaps the Triple Deluxe/Robobot engine would be better.
Why do i vividly remember hearing this version of the song in game and not the final one? Like when I heard this version I said "wait this is unused?" Then I searched for the used version and heard the difference, but i still remember this version better than the used one, I'm really confused ngl
I get where he’s coming from, I guess it all depends on what you want out of this song. This version sounds like something out of Kirby Squeak-Squad-Super Star Ultra so it sounds very nostalgic. The final version IMO is a more pleasant sounding version of the Beta, but the Beta is more “Kirby” to me if that makes sense.

I think the beginning was repurposed as the main menu screen of robobot, which is then remixed into vagrant song of retrospection
It was remixed in the Red Lab, area 2, the stage obviously being tower-like as well.
And yes the intro is basically the opening theme of PR
I think you're talking about the final version which does go used. This is an early version, probably from around 2000-2005.
