If you ever come across used home VHS tapes over here in the wild, 90% of them will be recordings of Princess Diana's funeral on them!

Is there anything written on the back? I have found a handful of pictures at thrift shops with a presentation inscription on the back. These inscriptions makes a piece even more interesting.

The VHS at 5:14 is in Greek. I cannot make out all the words, but I can make out:
    Line 1: Greek dance
Blue text: Theatre (then the name of a play?)
    Line 2: and songs

I have an Expert Software release of Sonic CD, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic R.
Found a similar cassette tape briefcase last time I was out thrifting. Tape cases make for good Gameboy game cases too.
I’m astounded they had black tapes, almost all Goodwills I’ve seen throw them out specifically because who knows what they have on them. I love exploring Tivo “sold as blank” tapes. Most don’t even have commercial tapes when I go to them any more.

That picture of the mall was a awesome find as with the end table ! You always find cool stuff. Don't regret leaving behind the CD holder behind, those usually always break. That trash gave me 80s Wendy's vibe, ours had a bunch of wood decor.

Great video!!! As I watch your thrifting videos, I always thought that your house might look like something out an episode of hoarders!!! SO WRONG!! You have everything displayed in a very neat and classic way!!! I have my own little collection of vintage video games. Just in a cabinet, not enough to display. However my GREAT passion in life is world travel. I just surpassed my 60th county in September. And much like you r game room I have an “art” gallery in my basement where I display all my favorite pictures from my travels. So as my “special” room is not videos games, I can still appreciate your passion for something that brings you so much happiness as video games and thrifting as travel brings to me!!!

A good chunk of the fun for me in going to thrift stores is to just look at the cool, weird, and funny things I find. I don't need to actually buy anything for it to be a fun trip 🙂 I also like to have friends over to enjoy my collection with and play old games. I can't do that if the house is overflowing with crap lol. My new place is great because it makes it easy to split it up with the retro stuff upstairs while downstairs it's nice and modern.

6:07 -- A friend of mine had that modem ca. 1990 when he was studying Computer Science at University. Rather than buy a PC (or any other computer), he scrounged a surplus terminal from somewhere and paired it with that 300 baud modem to do his homework on the mainframe. It was on clearance when he bought it, so it presumably came out several years prior.
ETA: The 4-pin DIN connector is for the Coco; the other port was for the Model I/III and other systems.

I was born in the late 80s and I have older siblings who are 10+ years older than me, so a lot of the stuff you feature and talk about is extremely nostalgic for me, and the videos are oddly comforting and cozy. I used to have 2 large cassette cases that looked like that. One was double sided. I threw them and all my tapes away around 2012. I wish I still had them. Would be neat if you could get that newer pic of the mall and mount them side by side. Also I wonder if you could put a projector in that coffee table and project stuff onto the glass from the bottom.
I miss the days of the SNES and Genesis. I had SO much fun back then. Genesis will always be my favorite.
Ha! You have a Micron case. Pre computer so pre 1994 I used to read all the magazine wanting a PC SO bad. Back then it was a toss up between Dell and Micron and I wanted a Micron. Never got either funny enough....ended up wit ha great AST.
