basically an RTS computer game in boardgame format
I like the concept
you got it
Great game. Excellent Overview Rob. Hope you are home from the hospital soon. Prayers and Blessings sent your way.
thank you
Sounds like an interesting space fleet game with a twist. The author recently posted official solo rules.
it sure is
I don't know anything, but still praying for a full and quick recovery if needed!
im getting there and hope to be back to normal in the next 10 days
Looking forward to your coverage of this one 😁
You and me both!
Another great video. Osprey are fantastic publishers with lots of great rule sets covering every genre. Zona Alfa is one of my favourites. Another great set of rules is 5 parsecs from home (not by osprey) which I recommend you take a look at.
Thanks for sharing! where can i find that?
@@seahawk8601 you can find it on drivethrurpg or Modiphius entertainment.
@@rykard72 good to know, I tried ordering from Osprey direct and it was a Charlie Foxtrot. I'm never ordering anything from them directly again.
@@cjanquart Haven’t had any problems myself, but you can find most of their stuff elsewhere online. But they do a great job in supporting the these developers.
Ponders getting Star Wars Armada now.
you should while you can
I already own a copy but haven’t had a chance to look at it. Thanks Rob!
check it out for sure!
Yea I like the osprey rules
It is like the way it used to be years back
With companies producing rules
And other companies producing minatures and you could use any manufactures figures in your games including tournaments
After games workshop started taking everything in house making both the rules and the minatures
A lot of other companies followed suit
Having to use their own minatures in a tournament that put people off from playing in their games
As some players already had an army and didn't fancy painting up another one to play competitively
I like the same with too fat ladies I've seen a few good competitive games using various manufactures figure at shows
well said
Cool. I loved his Gaslands.
it is glorious
Be careful. Looking at a billion suns sounds like a good way to go blind.
🤣
.........
Heh, at least you got a physical copy. I made the mistake of ordering direct from them and while it was listed as in-stock, a few customer service people I communicated either via email or Facebook messenger that they had an issue with their website. I was patient for a month, because it's coming from the UK (I'm in USA, CA specifically) but nothing. Month two one of the reps just sent me a PDF version; I should have pressed them for a partial refund but that whole thing pretty much killed the enthusiasm I had for this when I saw it demo'ed on GMG.
It's a neat idea but appears WAY to east to get outclassed/matched (with the AI) or if someone (human opponent) was losing they could just warp in a large ship and blow the piss out of you and the combat system is pretty basic and has oddities (the entire 'low numbers being better').
Sorry about that ..... there are solo rules for it as well
I love osprey rules. For me they are pushing wargaming forward.
i agree
What mini's do you have already that you think you might be using for A Billion Suns
Full thrust
I wonder if Rob is okay. It concerns me, he just looks unwell in this video. I hope I'm wrong and he's healthy and happy but he just doesn't look like he's feeling good to me in this video.
tune in today at 4pm hopefully i can talk
I"m gonna go broke watching you! LOL Just kidding. Out of all the channels I enjoy, I get the most out of yours. I learn about more games that are interesting to me from your channel.
I appreciate that!
