- Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is a new simulation game that puts you in the city of Barcelona as a taxi driver and really fun concept but falls short in many ways!
In Taxi Life, you get to explore the city of Barcelona all while getting taxi passengers to their destination. Additionally, you run your own cab service by purchasing more taxis, hiring employees and maintaining the repairs of your vehicles. In this video we dive deep into the gameplay, the good and bad aspects and give our overall thoughts about the game.

I’ve had a lot of fun with the game and will continue to play it for a long time to come. However, as of now it is pretty buggy. Frame rate drops and traffic ai is not great with many rearend crashes. Sometimes the car rolls when picking up passengers. And a few other issues. However, these are all issues that should hopefully be fixed soon! Definitely recommend the game to anyone interested 👍
Have you seen anything on updates coming yet? We have been searching for possible timeframe and havent seen much

The pop in at a distance is what bothers me, and the AI pedestrians. It might also be fair, to throw caution on patterns by developers as Train Life got 4 months of patching before it was no longer supported as the entire team went to this, and Train Life is still considered buggy...so their own internal QA standards are probably low.
I really wanted to get this once finding out about its development some years back. The general mixed reception has forced me to sit this out further until the devs can fix the issues. Issues which I’m sure they knew but decided to release the game in such poor state…
What really is off putting to us is the fact there is police emergency to clear out traffic jams. Thar just shows they knew there was issues with the AI traffic and came up with a lame way of addressing it rather than improving the core issue

I love playing it but the most annoying thing for me is the speed, a lot of the times I don’t know the speed and my passengers gets angry for small stuff, “do you have a death wish or something slow down”. Last night I drove and it said 50 and didn’t change so I kept going in 50 and all the patience dropped
That was a little hard for me at first too! But typically I found the small roads are 30 and the bigger roads are 50. Theyre posted with small signs that are red and have the speed limit in them. Easy to miss
I decided to rent it from GameFly, being on the fence on it. I love the concept but it needs improvement imo. At launch, there’s definitely some frame rate issues. Like pauses for a good second or two. I feel like there should be a fov slider in cockpit, and you should be able to raise the fov higher like vertical wise too. Some cockpits look too low. And there’s no steering wheel support on console. So that alone is a bust for me.
A FOV slider would be so helpful. Adam never checked his mirrors lol
How about an Airport or Train station DLC that's pretty cool right?

It’s a shame because everything looks good but as an early access game there is a lot of areas into this game that needs a lot of polishing because I like the concept of this game but the steering wheel and the bugs has put me off buying the game

Should be in gamepass. Fr why are we paying $19 per month for the game pass and we dont get new games smh. Like im starting to hate xbox ultimate gamepass
Adam had to cancel Game Pass because he felt like he didnt play many of the games aside from a couple. Now he just buys the games that he wants to play to have "forever"

Like ufc, madden and etc. i wish gamepass would actually start making games day 1 not a whole half year later when game dead lol. And simulator games should definitely be in game pass. Especially if they are dead like this taxi seems

Couldn't agree more! Developers rush games to get it out because they think thats what consumers want but in all reality we want solid and finished games.
