That's why people stormed the castle and killed them in the first place,they were tired of them doing nothing for the people and wanted them out of the picture for good.
Alannah Steuer They didn't want to risk them growing up and seeking revenge for there murdered family,so they killed the kids too avoid that possible future if they let them live. That and they were still of royal blood,when they got old enough they could have challenged the current ruler of that time for the throne.
