@about 17:00 when people are saying that Supplies are going to hurt goths, its not because supplies are magically going to break the game by making more civs build the militia line, but its because Goths, who are a mid to low tier civ, arent getting any buffs, while everyone else is getting a potential buff. So especially in Infantry v Infantry matchups ie. Goths v Slavs/Malay, Goths are going to be worse than before
It's a potential buff to their infantry, but like Viper said it doesn't change the power-spike of a fully boomed Goth player and I doubt any civ that wouldn't previously go infantry to counter Goth would start doing so because of the tech. Where it nerfs Goth is that civs like Britons that need to go infantry in Imperial already to counter, and Slavs, can now get their infantry cheaper at that stage. But again that's about cost effectiveness, when Goths win it's usually a snowball based on numbers rather than the opponent running out of res. I'll stop speculating though and wait to see how the meta evolves and if Supplies ever see competitive use.

How is this even possible? I used to beat AI in extreme even 1vs2 in the conquerors edition, in DE extreme is impossible for me, I've seem them go to feudal in 5 minutes and attack me with a full army at 7 minutes
AOE2 DE against AI, is meant for finishing game by Feudal age-Castle Age, cuz AI micros better than you once they are beefed up on econ. sad that you cant really enjoy any race's best units.
So a question for viper in particular (or I guess any regular rated match player) do you think the heavily nerfed HP from towers will reduce how frequent or effective trushing is? Tower civs like Koreans and Incas might still be able to do something with it but otherwise I don't see trushing being near as frequent as it was in HD.
@Viper if you could create a civ composed of 4 traits picked from other civs, 2 unique technologies picked from other civs, and one each of unique unit and team bonus from other civs, along with a tech tree that is full except for 10 techs (you pick which ones it doesn't have), what would it look like?
Just played my first BF 4v4 on DE -- The AI rushed, then sat in their bases for the rest of the game not farming or attacking. I was looking forward to this so much,. Very disappointing,
As thats not a bad idea the issue with that is #1 graphically that would add a lot of strain for all these trees to now be animated and this game has always been a game that can be run on basically any computer and #2 it goes against the own games almost simplistic charm. But ig if they added a option to disable it that should fix that.
Viper quick question - about your comment saying you like to control how your wood is used before you turn on autofarm - what if you need to save up wood so you dont make new farms, do you retask those villagers or leave them idle for later when you decide to reseed their farm?
Yo biper, im not sure if this is possible but did you try to click at the current age icon on the top once you have the res to advance to the next age? Cuz i noticed it was glowing when you had res b4 click to castle age for example.
wouldn't having cheaper champions be helpful for opponents to kill huskarls? they are a bottom tier civ because they can't get to the strong spam but when they do it's now easier for opponents to make cheaper infantry to counter the huskarls.
Am I the only one who feels the extreme AIs are poorer than the hardest of custom AIs for Voobly and Steam? See how poorly those AIs expanded their territories...
whats wrong with the AI? did someone else notice that the AI is not advancing ages for a long long time? I see a hard AI advance to castle in something like 8mins but here its 11mins for feudal only in Extreme!
I have managed to beat the extreme AI using a rush technique but I’ve been searching for a video of how to beat them late game. If I don’t win early the Ai becomes relentless lol
No possible way u can defeat them if they go castle before you or imperial because they are going to produce everything there is in a millisecond and thats too fast even for viper

I've been playing AoE2 for 20 years and never got past the quitter level, I think it's time to retire and accept that I am no good at this.

One graphics complaint is that the trees are rather static. A slight waving of the leaves in the wind would have been next level graphics.
