  • I’ve explained the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) to get your Canada PR in 2023. This PNP process can be used to get your Canada PR (Permanent Residence) even after the age of 35, 40, 45 or 50.
The participating provinces are Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
You can get your Canada PR without work experience, without an express entry profile, without proof of funds, and you need an IELTS score of just CLB 4 or 5. I’ve listed the requirements for AIP, fees for AIP, processing time for AIP, AIP document checklist, and steps to apply for the AIP or Atlantic Immigration Program to get your Canada PR in 2022.

Hi, Thank you for the video, it is really helpful for me since I'm planning to move to NB in this upcoming March. If I may summarize, so for AIP - Worker stream in NB:
    1. the eligibility criteria is to have at least 1 year full time working experience (1560 hours) in any Teer 0 - Teer 4 job for the last 5 years inside or outside NB.
    2. then get a Full-time Job in any of the designated companies in NB
    3. once we got the full time job, we will create the settlement plan to be submitted to the employer, then the employer submit the settlement plan to the provincial AIP dept. to issue the endorsement letter which then is used to apply for my PR
So does that mean, once we get a full-time job in any of the designated company in NB, then we can immediately start the process for the settlement plan and endorsement letter, without having the working experience in the New Brunswick? Is my understanding correct? Please kindly advise. Thanks

May I ask, if I'm an international student in a publicly funded school planning to do AIP, where do I submit my documents for PR? Is it also the same process as the skilled workers? a) Is it advisable to withdraw FSW Profile before applying for AIP?
    b) For a candidate having 10 years of experience, is it required to have reference letter from all previous employers including current employer?
    c) Does NOC selection matters while applying for AIP, if someone wants to change what they have in FSW profile?

But according to the video I need to have a job offer from these Atlantic provinces, but how will any employer give us a job without a valid work permit. So should we wait until we get the work permit and then apply for the PR? Or my spouse is on closed work permit in Ontario so should he have a job offer in Atlantic provinces? Before applying for the PR?

Hello, thanks for the video! Can you help me with a question?
If my wife is studying in a College inside the Atlantic, if I receive a job offer from a credential company and I have the requirements to apply for AIP, can I apply for it during her studies or it has to be after that? Thanks!

"you must have lived in one of the 4 Atlantic provinces for at lest 16 month during the last 2 years before course completion" I just do not understand this statement. it means we have to stay within 16 months before apply ? hope for your clarification. thank you.

Hello. I just finished my one-year course of PG Diploma in Project Management from Loyalist College in Belleville, ON. I am yet to apply for the work permit as the course was finished in August 2022. Will I be eligible for AIPP if I move to any of the Atlantic provinces?

Hi Jason.. Can you please make a video on the latest news on AIP. As news is buzzing about AIP applications not getting processed for outland applications. The applicants have been waiting for years and nothing is moving ahead after AOR. We need information on this as there are many friends sailing on the same boat. Will the wait ever end or the process itself is in the verge of closing. Your video will definitely show some light on our concerns. Looking forward for it. Best Regards.. from Qatar

I have a question. The time period for the PR is 12 months and we should have a job offer in hand. How will the employer wait for us to fill in the vacancy for 12 months? Which can also be uncertain if we come there or not. Doesnt look a practical way. Comments please.

Hi. Hope you are doing well
Kindly make a video regarding the job search for this program. Because it is the only thing difficult to find job as an international applicant.

Can one apply for AIPP, if they have completed a 1 year masters' program from one of the universities in the atlantic region? (1 year masters' = 12 months of full time study (not 8 months)). Please guide. Thanks.
