  • I’ve explained the British Columbia PNP Tech program previously known as the British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot Program which has now been made permanent. British Columbia PNP tech draws are held EVERY WEEK.
    Explained in the video are the BC PNP tech program requirements, cost, processing time, and the 7-step process for BC PNP tech program in detail. I have also listed the 29 In-Demand Tech / IT occupations for the British Columbia PNP Tech Program or the BC PNP Tech Program.

    Hi. Love your channel and the information you provide. This seems to be my pathway into the Great White North. The problem with providing all the necessary documents to complete the application is that I have to wait until I've been invited to apply to know what is needed. I have looked at the BC Tech pathway site and, as usual, it is light on what I would need to provide.
    Would I still need to have my degree accessed and translated to Canada's? What other documents could I expect to provide? I am pushing real hard to do this and would love to spend my energies in the right direction.

    Hi, this is an awesome video and thank you for all the details 😊 I wanted to ask in terms of the approach:
    Do you wait for your nomination for the tech program first before creating your express entry profile?
    Or can you create an express entry profile already while trying to get a job offer?😊

      Not at all! The employer is mistaken; kindly instruct him to go through the pdf guide provided on the BC Tech program webpage specifically for employers in British Columbia to know the exact details and procedures for providing you with your job offer.

      Documents unclude Full birth certificates, proof of academic qualifications translated into English with official endorsement (i.e. from WES), police clearance certificates from every country you've lived for 12 months or longer (since the day you've turned 18 y.o.), letters from past employers that attestate to your work experience according to what you wrote when creating your online profile, etc, etc. It could also include proof of funds and language test results if these were a requirement (currently not required for BC PNP Tech)

    Thank you for the detailed information. I have a question.
    Once we get the nomination from BC and get the PR, how long should we stay in BC before moving to a different province for work?
    Does that time period include the time we have spent working in BC before getting PR?

    • @DreamCanada
      @DreamCanada  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You'll have to live and work in any province that nominates you for a period of at least 2 years. Whether your prior experience time period in BC will be counted or no will be made clear in the undertaking you sign at the time; it is, in fact, often counted most of the times.

      @@DreamCanada Thank you Jason. If you could suggest the best option for my scenario, I would really appreciate it.
      I came to Canada 3 months back and since then I have been working in BC under WP.
      Is it a good option to apply for BC Tech PNP now or wait for 9 more months to be eligible for CEC class?
      If my current experience is counted for the post PNP PR mandatory stay in BC, I am cool with it, else is it a good option to get locked in for 2 years after the PR if the job prospects are not good.
      Thanks in Advance!!

    • @DreamCanada
      @DreamCanada  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since you're already in Canada, it would make sense to just continue on your work permit and apply through the CEC later. That way you would save up on the $1,150 application fee for the Tech Program

  • @skyeostm8288
    @skyeostm8288 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hi Jason, first of all, thanks for the informative video
    I have some questions though:
    If you get the PNP, then you apply right away for PR through express entry, but your employer wants you to come to Canada before you get the PR, so you go there by work permit and you can still apply for the PR right? But while you were waiting for the PR, you got fired for whatever reason, what happens then? Will the PNP be invalid? Will the work permit expire right after you got fired? Do you have to go back to your home country? Is there even an employer who'd wait for you to get both your PNP and PR before coming to Canada?
    Please help me ‘cause I'm deciding whether or not I should go for this PNP tech program or try to get back to school again and go the PGWP > PR route

    Hey Jason. This is the first time I am seeing your video and thanks a lot for it. What really impressed me was the how you listed out the points and how they properly synced with what you spoke. I've been trying to move to Canada for a long time and this BC Tech pilot program seems to be the light at the end of my tunnel. I just wanted to know if there is an age criteria associated with this program as I am 40+.

    • @DreamCanada

      Hi Prasanna, no, there's no age limit for this program. As long as you fulfill the requirements mentioned in the video; you'll get an invite.

    Hope you guys are doing good.I have been a recent subscriber and follower of your TH-cam channel and have gained a lot of knowledge about the Canada pr processing. You videos are detailed and answer almost any questions an applicant may have. Great work !
    A little about me . We are currently in US, Michigan and inspired from your videos looking to apply for Canada PR.
    I have a job offer from BC and plan to apply through the Tech pilot program. The problem is that considering the current processing timelines I doubt my employer would wait for more than 6 weeks for me to start work under a work visa.
    I’m trying to understand the process for the same and I see i need to have already applied for PR before I apply for work permit.
    Do you know-
    If applying for PR means means you need PCC, biometric and medical completed?
    And I see you need a PR acceptance letter to apply for work permit. At what stage do you get an PR acceptance letter? Is it a confirmation email you get immediately after submitting application or it may take longer and it’s further ahead in the process?
    We read almost all guides on the BC PNP website and couldn’t find any answer.
    Can you please share your thoughts and experience on the same?

    Hi Jason,
    Thanks for such an informative video. I highly appreciate your time and effort in explaining each step in simple and easy way. However I have few queries:
    1. As mentioned IELTS is not required for Tech Pilot prgm. But, can we still give IELTS ? and will it result in increasing the score or not at the time of score calculation when submitting profile in BCPNP Tech Pilot Prgm?
    2. What is the minimum eligibility score to get the profile picked up from the pool?
    3. Also please mention the list of documents which we need to get it ready if we receive an ITA from British Columbia.
    4. For applying to the tech pilot program for IT Professionals , under which category we would have to apply? Is it "Express Entry BC - Skilled Worker" or "Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker"?
    5. Have IRCC resumed BC PNP draws now?
    It would be helpful if you could let me know.
    Thank You

    Hey Jason, Thank you for this video. A couple of quick questions:
    1. I still need to give either the Celpip-G or ILETS exam right to get the Candian PR as it is a requirement for express entry?
    2. Applying through BC tech program and getting provincial nomination is 1150 CAD and then I would have to pay additional 1300+ CAD to get the PR through express entry right?
    The BC PNP Tech program just helps me to get the provincial nomination which gets me additional 600 points and would surely get me the PR in first go correct? Please do let me know if I am missing anything. Thank you.

    Hi Sir, Thank you for the detailed video, it gives a clear picture about BC tech pgm. I am trying for Canada PR since 2019 and since my IELTS score was low, I was unable to create an Express entry profile and then this pandemic, all my plans changed.. I then wanted to move with a job and created a RNIP profile, but I don't think it is helpful for me. I am a Biotechnology graduate currently working in a content management domain and previously worked with the ePublishing domain as a production editor (Proj Mgr). I have worked with authors, graphic designers, reviewers, linguists and editors in this domain but not as them. So, I am not sure if I will be suitable to try for BC Tech PNP. Looking out for jobs in the links you provided.. will it help me out????

    Hi, Jason. Thanks for your commendable efforts. Greatly appreciate this video. I do have a query though. I am an editor/ journalist (NOC 5122) based in New Delhi. I filed EE application in March 2021 with CRS 458. I am looking to apply for jobs in BC so that I can apply for PR through BC PNP Tech Program. Is it necessary for me to have this job offer from an IT/Tech company only? Or can I apply with a job offer from a media company, given that my NOC falls in the list of 29 in-demand occupations listed by BC PNP Tech program? Any related information/ help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks!
