- We’re just two days away from the season opener, and while nobody was surprised to see the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Thursday night opener, the Dallas Cowboys’ inclusion raised a few eyebrows. Dallas has missed the playoffs in the past two seasons and finished last year 6-and-10, good for only 3rd place in their own division.
