Favorite part was 19:10-20:48 !!! Just letting it rip. Also does anyone know the song that was playing then??? It was perfect I would love to get it on my Playlist!!! Keep ripping Josh!!
The moments that you can't help by smile at and feel the excitement for adventure build - something as simple as rolling into a new remote area at night (Lucky Spur saloon spot) settling in and wondering "what's it gonna look like tomorrow?!" 😃 Just incredible Much love for the remote wilderness of Nevada! So many hidden masterpieces 🤩
I'm a skier and map nerd, and I've honestly never once looked at mountains in Nevada (aside from Tahoe area) for ski objectives. Thank you guys for shedding some light on some epic terrain and skiers.
The stoke is alive and on thrive in Nevada. Way to go bros! Every bit is nothing short of epic, the stories, the spots, the shots, thank you for sharing! ⛷️🏔️
Love the adventure! In every sense of the wild unknown discovery. Big Thanks for being so honest and humble about mistakes you've made and lessons learned. Respect for incorporating that needed info into epic backcountry videos. Keep on exploring Josh & crew 🤙
Amazing film of my home state, grew up in Reno. Have skied in East Humbolts below Lizzy's window and Kingston where my buddy Matt has a house, spent some fun nights at the Lucky Spur too. Great inspiration to get out to great basin! Awesome film, thanks for sharing!!
It is so sick there is ski terrain like that way out in the middle of nowhere NV. So stoked for Daiek and the team preserving through 2 years of tough winters to get rewarded with such all time conditions. I also cannot comprehend how you are able to on~sight those lines with what seems like redline speed. Big congrats to you guys. 🎉🎉🎉
Way to go boys! I live in small town out west that is not one of the 'magazine' resort towns that most folks think about. Have been riding off the cuff mountains for years and really appreciate the 'unsexy' approach of Daiek in this project. Keep it up!
I’ve hiked Wheeler Peak in summer and it’s absolutely massive - bigger in size than anything I’ve seen in the Wasatch. It’s so exposed that it’s basically like standing in a hurricane on many days - I was almost knocked over on a “calm” summer day by the winds. You should do 3.0 of this series down in the Mojave by Charleston Peak next! Big El Niño this year so I bet it was good!
THIS. It seems like everyone these days is comparing one place to another. It's not about that. It's about getting out, in it, and having a good attitude no matter what. You'll end up finding something special and have a dang good time along the way.
I was sitting on the couch at home alone and literally yelled when you sent that line at 19:12 so hard 😂 That was rowdy!!! Live the documentary style and love your stoke for skiing in all conditions!
this is so sick! Im a proud Nevadan and am beyond stoked to see you guys hit some of these mountains. Ive been exploring this state my whole life and feel like i still have so much to see. There is so much more alpine than just the rubies. love it!
Yeah! Nevada's sick. Every time I'm out there in the summer I'm thinking about potential ski lines. Its such a cool experience to be in these lonely ranges
I saw the snowpack driving up from Phx to WA in Mid April and was thinking, someone surely took advantage of this. Glad you made a vid and brought us with you!
Awesome adventure, thanks for sharing. I have been to the Ruby Mt. Heli Ski a number of times and I look at all the mountain ranges as you drive through Nevada and see possibilities, but also very remote areas to access. Kudos to you for taking on the challenge of accessing those mountains and sharing the adventure with folks like me whose time has passed to do those type of adventures. But I still find awesome ski adventures just on a less adventurous level.
The beautiful thing about Nevada is you can show a million people this film and maybe 10 people will arrive in the middle of nowhere to check it out. Nevada is too big, too remote, too desolate for most. I've taken city dwellers into semi remote places to hunt Chukar and they get a little scared because there is NOTHING there except mountains and dirt roads. Nothing! It's good to know you have found what I grew up with. I will say I'm the only person in the world who has skied Sand Mountain with over a foot of snow on it. I climbed up the east side, skied down the west face in the shade, and had a friend tow me out with a three-wheeler at 50mph. No pictures or videos but it did happen. I have never skied anything else in Nevada so am envious of your adventures, but I've been on several of those mountains you skied chasing the elusive Chukar.
wow! geeez! thanks for sharing some of the mountain scapes'! gets me stoked up to ski up into rocky terrains'! germany and austria', would be dream skitrip for me peace' and thanks! love mountain beauty too!😎
Josh should check out the schell creek wilderness if he hasn’t already. Including going off North Schell Peak towards Utah, that line looked gnarley when I hiked to the top.
Great Basin is like a micro patagonia. I’ve led mtn leadership courses in Great Basin during the winter and be ready for the wind. We camped - 3 or 4 tents - at a designated spot and a gust of wind blew down a monster tree onto a tent where not 5 minutes before a student had been organizing her stuff…I thought she was for sure dead but she had left to go to the bathroom 😅
This was dope. Love the adventurous spirit. I about spit out my drink at 19:13 the way you took that second hit full speed. Fuckin gnarly. Wish I had the balls to send like that, but I do love exploring new ski terrain and snow camping like this. So badass. Daiek and Stan Rey are definitely some of the most fun skiers to watch, keep it up boys! Yew
So many gorgeous shots! Splendid camera work! Yet I can ask in total honesty, is this actually the film, or a really long trailer for it? I sure hope the latter; I kept waiting for it to start, and I'm still not sure it ever did. The shots don't last long enough to get any bearings, to take in. No scenery shot last longer than 5 seconds, and most under 2. Is this an exercise in showing people what it's like to have ADD, or an attempt to induce it? Why is it full of realty TV shots of the skier/producers talking embarrassing details about their inner process? A few I could understand but they take up a third of the screen time. I'm just baffled. A ski pic about NV backcountry is of huge interest to me, but I can barely watch this. No info about what the ranges shown are, what the exposures are, the date, season, altitude, snowpack, no beta or informative background of any kind. Lots of superficial talk from the skiers but nothing that lead me to feel I known them now (as for instance, Cody Townshend's films quickly do). A barrage of constant visual changes and disjointed dialog, and what, outtakes from The Office? I am happy to see it all the same, and jealous you got to live a life that was my fantasy since before you guys were born. If you ever get the urge to make another, more watchable edit out of all your wonderful footage, please do!
What was your favorite part of the film? share with us in the comments below ⬇️
the twist from south facing to north facing part! y'all never give up. awesome
Hey does anyone know what length ski he uses for these nearly lines
Favorite part was 19:10-20:48 !!!
Just letting it rip.
Also does anyone know the song that was playing then??? It was perfect I would love to get it on my Playlist!!!
Keep ripping Josh!!
The first-person go-pro video of their skiing. Absolutely nuts. I'm just sitting down at home doing nothing and I feel adrenaline from that.
The moments that you can't help by smile at and feel the excitement for adventure build - something as simple as rolling into a new remote area at night (Lucky Spur saloon spot) settling in and wondering "what's it gonna look like tomorrow?!" 😃 Just incredible
Much love for the remote wilderness of Nevada!
So many hidden masterpieces 🤩
I love this. Most ski movies are the same thing year after year. Really love seeing someone looking outside the box.
As a Nevada native, I feel blessed to have grown up in that terrain. Your movie truly demonstrates how many hidden gems are in this “desert”.
This is my favorite video series on TH-cam
Great film! The ski line at 20:40 with the high speed turn above the rock band was mental! More Nevada please!
I'm a skier and map nerd, and I've honestly never once looked at mountains in Nevada (aside from Tahoe area) for ski objectives. Thank you guys for shedding some light on some epic terrain and skiers.

Glad you stuck with it. I am stoked on the love for Nevada's mountains.
Love the adventure! In every sense of the wild unknown discovery.

Keep on exploring Josh & crew 🤙
opening the segment at 19:18 and those two hits - big stuff, kudos. Great Basin NP - hell yeah dudes.

Wow I didn't know Nevada had such cool mountains, I could come out there and make some hiking films.

The run at 20:45 is unbelieveble ! Super nice edit and out of this world skiing !
Gosh, I wish I could like this more than once. Your obsession is contagious and inspiring

The ending man! How epic were those lines!!! Absolute pleasure to watch
