    I’m studying Marine Biology/Zoology at Bangor and about to finish my 2nd. Highly recommend studying here, especially as they have a lot of over seas connections 🦈 🐋 🐙 🐠

      Heyyy! I’m thinking of applying at Bangor and was curious if you were online learning like most others or were you in campus more? Tysm

      @@maxknows888 All of my second year was online learning with the odd practical for each semester. But they are aiming to get back to normal at the start of next year, once they do, it is one of the best universities in the uk for ocean sciences.

      @@maxknows888 Bangor doesn’t really have any beaches, some of the beaches over in Anglesey are amazing though, and it doesn’t take too long to get to them, only about 25 minute drive.

    Great video!!
    I'm off to uni in September, and I've firmed Plymouth with Exeter as my insurance (had offer from Portsmouth too), so it's good to hear your experiences with them

    I completed a degree in BSc Biology at Soton graduating in 2019 and a masters at Imperial College London in MRes Biosystematics both specialising in freshwater fish biology. I've been offered a brilliant PhD studentship in fish biology currently. University of Southampton is brilliant and the access to London helps a lot! I know a lot of people who did marine biology but as I am interested in freshwater ichthyology I did general biology to do a lot more fish based modules :)

    UHI in Scotland has a really good marine science course at SAMS, it’s got a really good student satisfaction rating, and UHI is #3 for earth and marine sciences in the UK (and #1 in Scotland), I’ve just confirmed my place on it. It’s marine science though so not just biology, they also offer a few different options for studying abroad. The entry requirements are really flexible too and it’s in Oban so right next to the sea :) only downside was the accommodation as there isn’t much student accommodation there at all, but I liked the course enough that I didn’t mind.

    How do you feel about the university of Aberdeen?

    • @kgshoots_
      @kgshoots_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiiii! I’m from Aberdeen, and can say a wee bit on this.. I looked into the university of Aberdeen, but found that for the degrees I looked at (zoology / conservation), it was mainly focused on hoof stock… So I then looked at the marine biology bit, and from what I’ve heard from ppl who have been, it’s mainly statistical based and fieldwork is more focused on seaweed etc. If you have the option, I’d recommend Glasgow over Aberdeen!
